Day 1a and 1b of Horseshoe Circuit Event Begins Today!

Another World Series of Poker Circuit Event is set to start at the beautiful Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Southern Indiana. In a twist the the traditional format that the circuit events have seen in the past, all of the Main Event's this year will feature two "Day 1's". Day 1a will begin at 11 a.m. local time and play nine levels. Once the first flight has reached that mark, players will bag up their chips for Day 2. Day 1b will begin at 7 p.m. and registration will be open to those that busted in Day 1a or did not register at all. If you were a Day 1a participant and bagged up chips, you will not be able to play Day 1b. Those that make it through the Day 1b field will bag their chips and join their Day 1a competitors tomorrow for Day 2.

Last year, Charles "Woody" Moore outlasted a field of 289 players to claim the nearly 6-figure pay-day. Moore held a chip-lead when heads up play began against Kevin Calenzo and never relinquished his lead. Eventually Moore's Jacks held against the Ace-King of Calenzo and he was able to take home the title.

Play is set to begin any moment and we can already see they are set for an impressive turnout. With a total of 18 levels being played today between two starting fields, stay tuned right here to PokerNews for all the poker action!
