Hodson Busts One Early

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

We caught the action on a flop of {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Bobby Hodson checked as did another player. A third player was on the button and bet 1,500. Hodson made the call and the two went heads up to the turn.

The dealer placed the {10-Diamonds} on the board and this time both players checked. When the {7-Clubs} landed on the river, Hodson led for 1,650 and after some thought his opponent moved all in. Hodson took a look back his cards, thought for just a moment and made the call. His opponent flipped over {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} but was upset to see the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} of Hodson.

According to Hodson, the two players have developed a history during the past week, with a slow roll or two in between. It was clear the pot was that much more gratifying for Hodson who appears to have gotten the last laugh against his opponent.
