Kyle Ramriez limped under the gun+1, and two other players followed the trend, limping as well. Action folded to Michael Holm in the small blind, and he shoved all in for over 120,000. Ramirez instantly shoved all in, and the rest of the players folded. The cards were flipped, and Ramirez saw that he was in rough shape.

The flop gave Ramirez some hope, as it came out . The turn provided another glimmer of hope, as it was a paint card, but it was the . The river was the , and Holm won the hand. The chips were counted, and Holm had more then Ramirez, sending him to the rail.

The board read and was being contested by Dutch Boyd, in position, and one other opponent. The player first to act fired 20,000 before Boyd raised to 60,000. The other player had only about 50,000 more behind so it was effectively a decision for his tournament life. Eventually, he laid it down and Boyd scooped the pot.

We caught the action on the flop of . Jeff Fielder had fired 12,500 from the button and action was on the player in the big blind position. He opted to raise to 62,500 leaving himself 41,000 more behind. Fielder mulled it over for awhile before sticking in the chips for a raise and getting snap-called.

Opponent:
As if things were interesting enough already, the came on the turn to give Fielder's opponent six extra outs to split the pot. It was not to be though. The river was the and Fielder is now over 500,000 and on the heels of our chip leader, Joe Kuether.

William Reynolds had been nursing a shortish stack that was only getting smaller as the day went on. Well we just walked by his table, and his seat is now empty, meaning that the young gun has been eliminated.

Tim Acker started the day with the 2nd shortest chip stack in the room, a measly 16,500. That wasn't even a full 6 big blinds at the time.
On the very first hand we saw him move all in. Action folded around to the big blind who could only show as he mucked. Acker hasn't looked back as every time we pass his table he seems to have more and more chips.
He's not out of the water yet though. His stack is still only about half the size of the average stack in the room but its a story that may develop into something more. See: Martin Staszko

Joe Kuether was our Day 1a chip leader but when he was seated at the start of the day he found himself second on the leaderboard. That didn't last long though. He now has 640,000. Jeff Fielder still appears to be second in chips with just over 400,000 so Kuether's cushion is big.
Kathy Liebert was able to get one of her opponents all in preflop. She was holding against and enjoyed a relatively sweat free board of .
