Joe Hall bluff his way out of the Main Event.
Joe Hall bluff his way out of the Main Event.

Hugo Perez and Joe Hall went to the flop of {K-Hearts} {5-Spades} {2-Diamonds} together. Hall bet 70,000 and Perez called. The turn brought the {A-Spades} and Hall slid out 150,000. Perez tanked for a few moments before deciding to call. The turn brought the {2-Clubs} and Hall pushed his remaining 320,000 into the pot. Perez again thought for a few long moments before sliding in a call.

"Wow, nice call sir," Hall said and tabled {Q-Spades} {J-Hearts}.

Perez clapped his hands together and tabled {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} for aces up.

Will Carrion is no longer with us.
Will Carrion is no longer with us.

Derek Browning opened on the button and Will Carrion shoved from the small blind. After the big blind folded Browning only had to invest about another 100,000 to call.

Browning called holding {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} and was up against Carrion's {A-} {2-}. Carrion looked good until Browning hit a five on the river to send Carrion to the cashier's cage.

Jaharguiri's Dreams Flushed Away

Rod Jaharguiri's WSOPC Choctaw Main Event is over after a nasty river sent him packing.

He and Abraham Araya tangled over a massive pot with Jaharguiri on {k-}{j-} and Araya holding {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Both turned trip jacks and all the money went in with Jaharguiri miles ahead, but the river put a third club on board to give Araya a flush.

Alexander's Ace

Doubling Dejuante.
Doubling Dejuante.

Dejuante Alexander is up over the one-million chip mark and James Matthews is on life support after a pre-flop raising war that saw them get it in heads up and Alexander come out on top.

Alexander opened the action with a 52k bet, Matthews made it 150k and after a good while in the tank, Alexander emerged shoving for about 550k total. Matthews made the quick call and the cards were turned on their backs.

Alexander: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Matthews: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Alexander walked away from the table as the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop was revealed missing Matthew's club-sweat, but the {j-Diamonds} turn and {k-Diamonds} turn did not help him get there and Alexander collected the 1.1 million chip pot.

Grayson Comes from Behind to Eliminate Robinson

Andy Robinson opened in early position for 45,000 and Larry Grayson called from the big blind. The flop came {9-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {8-Spades} and Grayson quickly announced all in. Robinson snap-called and tabled pocket queens.

"Oh, you're way ahead sir," Grayson said. Though it wasn't for long.

The turn gave Grayson aces up when it came {A-Spades} and the river didn't save Robinson when it fell {K-Diamonds}.

Lipsey Loses Race for Tournament Life

A crippled Bradley Lipsey moved his short stack into the middle preflop and action folded around to Derek Browning in the small blind. Browning called and the hands were tabled.

Browning: {6-Diamonds} {6-Spades}
Lipsey: {A-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

The board ran {3-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {5-Spades} {A-Spades} {4-Clubs} and Browning caught the four he was calling for on the river. His six-high straight bested Lipsey's wheel and Lipsey was sent to the rail.
