Naquin Makes Hero Call to Cripple Sewell

Jacob Naquin opened for 68,000 and Ronnie Sewell called from the small blind. The flop came {2-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn was the {5-Clubs}, Sewell bet 160,000 and Naquin called. The river came {6-Clubs} and Sewell pushed out 200,000, which left him with under 300,000 behind.

Naquin thought for a moment and grabbed two stacks of T5,000 chips and slid them in for a call. Sewell looked as if he had gotten punched in the gut and turned over {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. Naquin stood up and tabled {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} to take the pot.

Monroe Doubles Up Through Naquin

Action folded around to Jacob Naquin in the small blind. Naquin pushed out a raise to 62,000. Jerry Monroe looked down at his cards in the big blind and announced a raise.

Monroe patiently counted out his chips before making it 262,000 to go. Naquin responded by quickly announcing a four-bet all in and just as Monroe called off for his tournament life just as quickly.

Monroe: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Naquin: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

Naquin skyrocketed into the lead when the flop fell {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{A-Spades}. Monroe needed to catch a seven in order to take the lead in this hand. Just like that, the {7-Clubs} rolled off on fourth street and Naquin was again behind. The river brought the {10-Spades} and Monroe was able to score a huge double and put a chip in the armor of our chip leader.
