Day 1 Started
The first of two Day 1 flights for the WSOPC Biloxi Main Event gets underway shortly 11 a.m. CST in the spacious Studio B at the posh IP Casino Resort Spa. Last year’s Main Event saw 270 players, with Travis Lutes taking home $95,253 for the win.
At the start of the day we have 124 players registered, but that number is sure to rise with registration open all the way to the start of Day 2.
The schedule allows for 9 levels of play for Day 1a and 1b. Day 1a will end approximately around 5 p.m. CST. The second flight will have cards in the air at approximately 7 p.m. CST. Any player that busts during the first flight is able to buy in to Day 1b.
We’ll let you know which familiar faces are in the crowd as soon as cards in the air. Follow all the WSOPC action live on Pokernews.com.

Poker players are notorious for not being on time. Players are still filing and finding their seats. So far we've spotted Kathy Liebert, "The Captain" Tom Franklin and WSOPC Southern Indiana Main Event runner up Jacob Bazely.
2010 November Niner John Dolan has taken a seat. Also joining late are Allen Kessler and Chris Tryba.

We found Dwyte Pilgrim heads up in a hand at the river with the board reading . Pilgrim had it checked to him on the river and he bet 1,400. His opponent tossed in the call and Pilgrim tabled for ace high. His opponent turned over and took the small pot.
