SkillBet.com is Legal Real Money Poker in 28 US States Now!

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Here’s how Skillbet.com does it. You and your opponent sit at two identical tables. You both are dealt the same hand and play against the same five computer players. If you win $45 with your {a-}{a-} and your opponent only wins $35 with his {a-}{a-}, then you outplayed him by $10 on that hand. If on the next hand, you fold {k-}{8-} but your opponent plays, then you watch him play in real-time hoping he loses because every dollar he loses is a dollar you win!

The additional skill added to the game makes it a game of skill and 100% legal in the following states:

Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Table of Death

In a small field like this one today, there aren't a ton of stacked tables. For the most part, we recognize at most two players at each table. However, one table in particular has caught our eye.

Seat 2: Michael Souza- Souza has been a grinder on the WSOP-Circuit for a few years now, and he's had some good results to show for it. Just last week, Souza was taking winner photos here at Rincon after winning Event #2 $365 No-Limit Hold'em for $12,718. This was Souza's fourth ring, and he is in hot pursuit of another table mate of his, Alex Masek.

Seat 5 Jeff Madsen: Jeff Madsen's results in poker speak for themselves. The young pro stormed onto the scene in 2006, winning two gold bracelets on his way to a player of the year campaign. Madsen has been grinding the tournament circuit since, and recently, he finished 6th at the WPT Legends of Poker in Los Angeles for $75,000.

Seat 7: Alexandru Masek: The aformentioned Masek is in the seven seat of this table, and he is a player that his table hates to see. Masek made history last week when he became the third person to win five WSOP Circuit Rings. Masek also knows what it's like to make a deep run in the Circuit Main Events, as he claimed 2nd in the event at the Bike in January for over $100,0000.

Seat 8: Casey Stewart- Stewart might not be a household name, but he is well known by many poker grinders in Southern California. Stewart has been a fixture at tournaments all year long, with two wins under his belt, as well as a 3rd place showing in the 6-max event here at Rincon. On his career, Stewart has over $275,000 in live tournament earnings.

Basebaldy Back Up

There was 1,500 in the middle, and the flop read {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} when we got to the table. Eric Baldwin led out for 1,000, and his lone opponent called on the button. The {a-Spades} on the turn slowed down both players, as they both checked through, and the river brought the {9-Diamonds}. Baldwin assembled a bet of 2,300, and after about 20 seconds of thought, his opponent tossed in a Pink T5,000 chip for the call.

Baldwin rolled over {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a flush, and his opponent sent his cards towards the dealer. Baldwin is back over starting stack with that hand, sitting on 23,000.

Kuether Cut Down

We reported earlier that Joseph Kuether was off to a good start to defend his title, but we just saw him lose a big pot to the same opponent he was heads up with before. The board read {j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}, and there was already 6,600 in the pot when we arrived. The small blind led for 4,200, and Kuether made the call from the button.

The river came the {q-Spades}, completing a back door flush, and his opponent thought for about 20 seconds before moving the rest of his chips in. It was a bet of more then 11,000, and it represented most of Kuether's stack. Kuether spent about 90 seconds in the tank before eventually giving his hand up.

Kuether is still plenty healthy, but he is down to 14,000.

Baldwin Gets Caught Stealing

We caught up with Eric "Basebaldy" Baldwin in the middle of a heated pot just a few minutes ago. We saw that Baldwin had led out for 425 when it was checked to him on a flop of {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. One of his opponents got out of the way, but the other player min raised it to 850. Baldwin took little time in clicking it back to 1,900, and his opponent made the call.

The {8-Clubs} hit the turn, and his opponent quickly assembled chips for a 2,800 bet. As soon as they hit the table, Bladwin chucked his cards towards the muck, giving the pot to his opponent.

After that hand, Baldwin is down to just over 16,000.

Kuether Starts Off Well

We just saw defending champion Joseph Kuether take down a nice pot to start his title defense. We came to the table in time to see that Kuether had raised it to 175 on the button after a limp in the cutoff. The small blind three bet to 550, and Kuether was the loan caller.

The dealer fanned out a low board of {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and Kuether called his opponent's bet of 650. The turn brought the {5-Spades}, and this time, it was checked to Kuether, who fired out 1,850. His opponent quickly released, and Kuether boosted his stack up to 23,000.
