Early Action at Table 44

We just saw an interesting four-way hand over at Table 44 with significant action and a large pot.

After Charles Townsend opened with a raise to 325 from middle position, Jack Klein called from the cutoff, Yung Hwang called from the small blind, and Chris Reslock also called from the big blind. The came all babies — {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} — and when checked to Townsend continued for 750. Klein then raised to 1,550, and Hwang didn't wait long before reraising to 3,350. Reslock folded, and Townsend promptly set his entire stack all in.

Townsend's push sent Klein deep into the tank, muttering "so sick" repeatedly as he contemplated what to do. Finally after several minutes the clock was called, and with time running out Townsend finally folded his hand. Hwang then called all in, showing {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, and Townsend flipped over his {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the matching nut straight.

As the {9-Clubs} turn and {J-Hearts} were dealt out, Klein told all he'd folded {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, his exhalations of relief caused both by the sight of the straights and the board ultimately failing to pair.
