We walked by Robert Cheung's table to find that his stack was down to merely 3,000. He informed us that he lost a very big flip for a majority of his stack. After a series of hands with the same opponent, he finally got his opponent all in before the flop while holding ![]()
. Cheung was racing with his opponent's ![]()
and unfortunately for Cheung, he failed to improve his hand.
Cheung will now need some good fortune in order to stay alive here on Day 1a.

Ashkan Razavi won his first World Series of Poker bracelet earlier this year when he bested a massive field and defeated circuit regular Amanda Musumeci heads up in Event 9: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry. Razavi is in the field today and is thriving.
We found action fold around to the cutoff and he raised to 650. The button and small blind tagged along and Razavi joined the party from the big blind.
All four players looked down to see a flop of {Ts]![]()

"I knew he had that hand," said Doug Lee as he stood up from the table, learning that he was ahead with his pair of eights.
The

rolled off to complete the board and paired Tyler Lee's king, spelling elimination for the 2005 WSOP Circuit Championship event winner.
"Ugh," lamented Doug Lee. "I knew he had ace-king." Doug Lee walked away from the table while Tyler Lee scooped up a huge pot that boosts his stack to about 66,000.
