Up And Down For Baldwin

We've been keeping tabs on Eric Baldwin today, and it's been a roller coaster so far. Everytime we walk by, he is either way up or way down from the last time we saw him. Well we just caught the negative part of that, as Baldwin just shipped 10,000 to another opponent.

We didn't catch the betting action, but we saw that all the chips got into the middle on a {5-}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. Baldwin held {j-}{j-}, but he was well behind the {a-}{a-} of his opponent. The board completed {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and Bladwin lost the pot, knocking him down to 22,000.

Where We Are So Far: WSOPC at the Bicycle Casino

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

The ninth stop of the 2012/2013 World Series of Poker Circuit presented by Southern Comfort 100 Proof recently kicked at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California and featured 12 ring events. This weekend the stop will culminate with today's $1,675 Main Event, and we thought it prudent to take a look back at those events that have already concluded at the WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino.

One of those was Event #5 $585 No-Limit Hold’em which attracted 157 entries and created a prize pool of $78,500. After two days of intense play, Nathan Bjerno, who was playing in just his second WSOP Circuit event ever, emerged victorious to claim the gold ring and accompanying $21,180 first-place prize.

Here's a look at some of the WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino events completed thus far:

Yu Flops Second Nuts, Three Way Chop

A player raised to 300 from under the gun + 2. He was called by three players including the small blind, and Ben Yu in the big blind.

The flop fell {Q-Hearts}{K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and action checked to the player in the cutoff, who bet 300. The player in the small blind called, and Yu proceeded to raise to 1,500 from the big blind. All three players called.

On the {9-Spades} turn, action checked again to the player in the cutoff who bet 5,000. The player in the small blind then moved all in for 13,650.

Yu went deep into the tank before eventually moving all in for 15,450. The player who originally raised folded, but the player in the cutoff made the call with a covering stack and the three hands were turned up.

Small Blind: {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Yu: {9-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Yu had flopped the nut straight, but both of his opponents had caught up on the turn. The river was a blank and the three players chopped the pot.

Madsen Tangles With Fame

Actor Kirk Acevado, who's well known for his roles in the T.V. shows Fringe and Oz, has made an appearance in the field today. Also at Acevado's table is 2006 WSOP Player of the Year, Jeff Madsen.

Acevado and Madsen are already starting to tangle as the two of them just played in a pot.

With 1,475 in the pot, four players including Madsen and Acevado checked the {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop.

On the {5-Hearts} turn, action checked to Madsen, who bet 1,050 from middle position. Acevado, who was in the cutoff, asked how much the bet was and tanked for a while before making a pained look and folding. The rest of the players also folded and Madsen took the pot.

With that, Madsen is off to a good start with 24,500.

SkillBet.com is Legal Real Money Poker in 28 US States Now!

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Here’s how Skillbet.com does it. You and your opponent sit at two identical tables. You both are dealt the same hand and play against the same five computer players. If you win $45 with your {a-}{a-} and your opponent only wins $35 with his {a-}{a-}, then you outplayed him by $10 on that hand. If on the next hand, you fold {k-}{8-} but your opponent plays, then you watch him play in real-time hoping he loses because every dollar he loses is a dollar you win!

The additional skill added to the game makes it a game of skill and 100% legal in the following states:

Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Click on this banner above to play Lacey Jones (SkillBet.com’s beautiful poker pro and spokesperson). She will explain how to play and then you can play 20 hands of SkillBet.com winning up to $12 with no deposit! (even if she crushes you, you still get $3!)
