One Pair is Good Enough

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Zal Irani and Quan Nguyen checked on a flop of {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and Cord Garcia fired out 6,700. Only Irani called.

The turn was the {3-Spades}, both players checked, and the {10-Hearts} completed the board. The two checked again.

Garcia showed {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines, prompting Irani to muck {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} face up.

Sala-Buuuuuuuuuruuuuuuuu

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

In one of the last hands of Level 14, Rob Salaburu three-bet to 12,000 from the blinds facing a raise to 3,600 and a call. Only the original raiser called.

The dealer fanned {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, and Salaburu immediately led out for 13,000. The player folded, and the Octo-Niner pulled in the pot.

Don't Believe Me, Just Watch

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

"You're going to want to watch this one," Cord Garcia just told our reporter a moment ago.

He and Quan Nguyen were heads up on a flop of {j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, and Nguyen checked.

"One free card," Garcia said, knuckling behind.

The turn was the {4-Spades}, Nguyen checked again, and Garcia bet the minimum (1,600). Nguyen min check-raised, making it 3,200, and Garcia called.

A repeat four - the {4-Clubs} - completed the board, and both players checked. Nguyen showed {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for sevens and fours, and Garcia mucked.
