Dinner Time

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

The first flight has concluded but it's not the last chance for those eliminated. The second starting flight of the day will begin at 7:00 PM EST and anyone who was eliminated from the Day 1a field has the opportunity to re-enter. Until then, we dine!

Flight 1a Chip Counts

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Three More!

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Tournament staff has stopped the clock and three more hands have been announced before we will bag and tag the first flight of players.

One For MacKinnon

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We caught up to see DJ MacKinnon and a lone opponent looking down at a completed board of {2-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. MacKinnon cut out a bet of an unknown amount on the river and his opponent instantly called, tabling {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for top pair.

MacKinnon rolled over {J-Hearts}{10-Spades} for two pair, jacks and tens, and took down the pot. With that pick up he's now sitting on about 26,000.

Last Level

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

This will be the last level of the day for the Day 1a players. Those to advance will bag and tag at the end. Those who were eliminated, on the other hand, will have the chance to re-enter during the second flight.

Rice Runs Into Tens Full

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

We saw a player bet 1,700 on a flop of {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Sean Rice called and the third player in the hand folded. The two took in the {Q-Clubs} on the turn and once again the player bet 1,700. Rice stuck around once more and the {10-Clubs} completed the board.

"Same bet," remarked Rice's opponent, once again tossing out 1,700. Rice called.

Rice's opponent showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for tens full of sevens and Rice mucked his hand. He's now sitting on about 25,000.
