At the start of Day 3 of the inaugural €1,650 WSOPC Rotterdam Main Event, 35 out of 273 players are still in the hunt to capture the first ever Main Event WSOP Circuit ring in Holland. It's the penultimate day of one of the biggest tournaments in Holland, and a massive first place prize of €94,394 awaits the last player standing on Saturday, September 2nd.

Before that prize will be awarded, the money has to be reached first. 5 out of 35 will be going home empty-handed after more than two full days of playing, promising tense action right off the bat. Jakob Miegel holds pole position and boasts a stack of 680,000.

The German is followed by Britain's Lawrence Bayley (582,000) and Eric Sfez from France (484,500), who round out the international top three. The first Dutchman, Teun Mulder, is found in fourth place (439,000), and as expected the majority of remaining players sport the home nation's red, white, and blue.

Familiar names are aplenty in Holland Casino Rotterdam, with Govert Metaal (253,000), Bart Lybaert (195,000), Kees van Brugge (176,000), Olympic Gold medalist Fatima Moreira de Melo (106,500), Tobias Peters (95,500), and James Gilbert (71,000) all still in contention.

At 2 p.m. local time, cards will be in the air for the penultimate day of this four-day event. Blinds will start at 2,500 / 5,000 with a running ante of 500 and levels will be 60 minutes throughout the tournament. Play today is scheduled until the final table has been reached, at which point chips will be bagged and tagged for the final day on Saturday, September 2nd. Tune into PokerNews regularly to capture all of the excitement from the penultimate day as we enter the late stages.
