Paulius Vaitiekunas

Paulius Vaitekunas moved all in preflop and was called by Maurice Hawkins.

Vaitiekunas {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Hawkins {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board gave some outs to Vaitiekunas as it came {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The turn gave Hawkins a set as the {k-Spades} rolled off. It was a needed set as well as the {a-Hearts} peeled but it was too little too late to save the Lithuanian's tournament and the start of day chip leader was eliminated.

Hawkins Doubles Through Cedric

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins opened to 110,000 from the hijack and Adam Cedric three-bet to 300,000 from the small blind. Hawkins just called and the two players saw a flop of {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Cedric shoved all in and Hawkins called off his last 310,000 chips.

Maurice Hawkins: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Adam Cedric: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Hawkins was in the lead but didn't want to watch the rest of the cards hit the felt. Hawkins stood far away from the table and waited for the {5-Clubs} on the turn and the {j-Hearts} on the river to complete the board and secure his double up.

Salazar Gets a Double Up Before Break

Eric Salazar opened to 75,000 from under the gun and Maurice Hawkins called from the cutoff. Ryan Eriquezzo shoved all in from the small blind and Salazar called off his remaining 805,000 chips. Hawkins folded {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} before the remaining two hands were tabled.

Eric Salazar: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Ryan Eriquezzo: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

It was a classic coin flip and Eriquezzo took the lead on the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop. As half of the rail cheered for a queen, the dealer burned and turned the {q-Clubs} to give Salazar a set of queens. The {6-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and Salazar scored a double up.

The remaining six players are taking a short break as the level has concluded.
