Huge Double for Paque

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Kevin Paque
Kevin Paque

Kevin Paque limped from the small blind and Luuk Gieles raised it up with a bet of 55,000. Paque thought about it for a bit when the action was on him before he moved all in. Gieles asked if it was an all-in bet to check and when he got confirmation he made a quick call.

Kevin Paque: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Luuk Gieles: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The {9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} was an excellent one for Paque and Gieles was drawing to a Broadway straight. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and the river the {3-Clubs}. Paque now has well over 50% of the chips in play.

Albert Hoekendijk raised from the small blind to 50,000 and Kevin Paque called from the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Hoekendijk checked to Paque. Paque bet 33,000 and Hoekendijk clicked it back with a raise to 70,000. Paque went for the three-bet as he put in 128,000 and Hoekendijk folded his hand.

Paque showed {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} when Hoekendijk folded and raked in the pot.

Gieles Stacking Up

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Albert Hoekendijk raised from the button and big blind Luuk Gieles moved all in. Hoekendijk thought about it but he let go of his hand. Gieles is running away from the rest of the pack and is slowly expanding on the chip lead he has right now.

Refos Doubles Through Gieles

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Raoul Refos got all his chips in the middle with {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and he was flipping against the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} of Luuk Gieles.

Refos flopped the world when he saw the dealer spread out {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The turn was the {5-Hearts} and the only way Gieles would see any of his chips back was with a four on the river, but the dealer dealt the {A-Spades} river to award Refos with the double up.

The board ran out without a sweat for Gieles as the dealer put down {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Mrakes is the last player out of the tournament without cashing. The rest of the players are guaranteed €11,795.
