Gieles Sends Bayram to the Rail in Huge Clash

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Luuk Gieles was very active to the table and after he raised to 2,300 for the third time in a row it was Haci Bayram from Denmark who was visibly done with his aggression. Bayram three-bet to 5,400 and the action folded back around to Gieles.

The Dutchman four-bet to 13,000, but Bayram was a non-believer and he five-bet to 28,000. Gieles put in a sixth bet as he moved all in for about 46,000. Bayram called after a deep sigh.

Luuk Gieles: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Haci Bayram: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Bayram was left with just a couple big blinds that he lost in the hand after.

Zhong Chen was also eliminated from the tournament on another table.

Loads of Raising

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

The tournament continued after the dinner break with loads of small pots, but the raising has begun. Alex van der Werf opened with a raise to 2,000 and George Rensen called. Kevin Paque three-bet to 7,000 and when it folded to Mark Radoja he put in a four-bet to 21,000. The other players all folded and the pot went to the two-time bracelet winner from Canada.

Farid Chati opened the action with a raise from the hijack to 2,000. Ronald Keijzer had different plans from the cutoff as he three-bet to 5,800. Wladimir Stepanian folded from the button and the action was on Mrakes. Mrakes thought about it for a moment before four-betting to 13,400. Both Chati and Keijzer were very quick with a fold.

Kuhlman Doubles Through Chen

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Rene Kuhlman checked on the {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop and Zhong Chen bet 3,300. Kuhlman raised to 9,000 and Chen's response was to move all in for effectively 26,000. Kuhlman grabbed chips and looked like he was making the call, but he didn't let go of them yet.

After a while Kuhlman did make the call and Chen showed {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} for just ace high. Kuhlman opened up {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The {J-Diamonds} turn came down and Kuhlman only needed to fade a queen on the river to double up and he did just that as the {5-Spades} completed the board.

Double Up for Zoufri

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Kevin Paque raised from middle position to 1,500 and Hakim Zoufri called from the button. Alex van der Werf joined as well and defended his big blind.

The flop came down {2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and Paque continued with another bet of 1,500 after Van der Werf had checked to him. Both Zoufri and Van der Werf called.

The turn was the {J-Spades} and Van der Werf checked again. Paque wanted to know how much Zoufri was playing and after he saw that it was about 25,000 he put in a bet of 6,500. Zoufri called and Van der Werf quickly folded.

The {7-Clubs} river completed the board and Paque moved all in after he took a moment to think about it. Zoufri called within a second and saw that he was good as Paque opened up {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Zoufri showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for the winning hand.
