Chen Flops a Full House

Level 5 : 150/300, 300 ante
Zhong Chen at EPT Barcelona
Zhong Chen at EPT Barcelona

Zhong Chen raised from early position to 700 and it folded to small blind Wladimir Stepanian. He three-bet to 2,100, only to see Chen four-bet to 5,300. Stepanian called.

The flop was {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn was the {A-Spades} and Stepanian checked again. Chen made a delayed continuation-bet of 4,200 and Stepanian called. The river was the {5-Diamonds} and Stepanian checked to Chen for the third and final time. Chen asked Stepanian how much he was playing and he moved his arm so Chen could see his stack. Chen fired out a big bet of 24,000 and Stepanian went into the tank. Stepanian ended up folding and Chen showed {9-}{9-}.

Chen flew directly from Barcelona to Rotterdam after a seventh-place finish in the €10,300 EPT High Roller last night, good for €136,700.

Kuhlman Has the Best Seat

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The organization in Holland Casino Rotterdam is taking very good care of their High Rollers. Plates with small bites and finger food has been brought over to the players. As Luuk Gieles was making his way to grab a bit, he told Rene Kuhlman how he had the best seat in the house.

Kuhlman responded with a cool: "Yeah, I've got position on the food".

Value for Van der Werf With Quads

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Alex van der Werf just delivered a huge blow to Bryan van Rijsbergen his stack, right before the first break of the day. There was already about 26,000 in the middle and the complete board was already dealt.

Van der Werf fired out a bet of 21,000 on the {9-Clubs}{K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} board and Van Rijsbergen looked like he had a hard decision to make. He ended up calling and Van der Werf showed {9-Spades}{3-Spades} for quads.

Van Rijsbergen has just 4,000 left after the huge clash with Van der Werf and is the shortest stack in the tournament.
