Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Radek Jantos
Radek Jantos

A player limped in middle position and Radek Jantos raised to 12,500. The small blind called. Markus Kentzler was in the big blind and three-bet all in for around 140,000. The initial raiser folded and Jantos moved all in for 127,700. The small blind open-folded {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and the cards were opened.

Radek Jantos: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Markus Kentzler: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} giving Jantos a flush and knocking Kentzler down to just three big blinds. He was soon eliminated and Jantos now sits on 280,000.

Friedl Snags a Huge One

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Josef Friedl
Josef Friedl

Jan Djergberg raised from the cutoff. Samir Akhoullou called from the small blind. Josef Friedl three-bet to 18,000 from the big blind. Both Djergberg and Akhoullou called.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts}, Akhoullou checked, Friedl bet 32,000. Djergberg called and Akhoullou looked at his cards again. He counted his chips and then decided to fold.

The turn brought them the {8-Diamonds}, Friedl continued with a bet of 46,000. Djergberg hesitated but ultimately called.

The river completed the board with the {3-Spades}, Friedl shoved all in for around 100,000 and Djergberg snap-folded.

"It's not much" he said to PokerNews when we counted his stack.

Blasko Folds; Sindelar Gone

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Marek Sindelar
Marek Sindelar

Martin Mulsow raised to 7,500 and Marek Blasko three-bet in the next position to 18,500. Mulsow called and the flop came {10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Mulsow checked and Blasko bet 15,000. Mulsow then check-raised to 37,000.

"You call me with king-jack?" asked Blasko, before eventually folding.

Meanwhile, Marek Sindelar was heading to the exit. He had {k-}{10-} on a board of {10-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, which was good enough for two pair, but his opponent Josef Friedl had {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for a flopped straight, sending Sindelar to the rail.

Tomovic and Lybaert Eliminated

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Bart Lybaert
Bart Lybaert

Aleksandr Tomovic open-jammed for 22,000 from middle position. The decision was on Florian Goss and the clock was called on him before he eventually called. The remaining players folded. Tomovic showed {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and was ahead of the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of Goss.

The board ran out {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Tomovic eyed his flush, but departed as soon as he realised Goss held a better flush.

Meanwhile, Bart Lybaert was heading to the exit. He explained that he opened with {k-Clubs}{j-} from middle position off a stack of 40,000. An opponent in the cutoff called and the flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-}. Lybaert checked to his opponent who bet and the Belgian check-jammed all in. His opponent called with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. The turn {7-} and river {3-} didn't help Lybaert and he too was eliminated.

WSOPC €1,650 Main Event
WSOPC €1,650 Main Event

A total of 292 players remain on Day 2 of the €1,650 WSOPC Main Event and they will all be looking to have another strong day as they move towards a potential final table here at King's Casino, Rozvadov.

Best placed of the remaining players are Day 1 chip leaders Alexander Romme (310,500) & Markus Sturz (368,700).

However, a whole bunch of well-known players will be taking to the felt on Day 2, including two-time WSOPC ring-winner Eyal Bensimhon (250,500), who took down the €220 WSOP Circuit Deep Stack Open earlier this month for an additional €16,580.

Another ring-winner in with a chance of further glory is Martin Kabrhel (162,300), who narrowly missed out on another WSOPC ring, finishing third in the WSOPC €5,300 High Roller on Friday. Kabrhel has won WSOPC rings during visits to Rozvadov in 2016 and 2017, and will be looking for a third ring in three years when play gets underway later.

Other notable players still in on Day 2 include November Niner Vojtech Ruzicka (127,100), Marek Blasko (83,500), Bertrand Grospellier (63,100), Pierre Neuville (47,000), Martin Staszko (42,800), Michal Mrakes (35,000), Sebastian Langrock (24,000), along with WSOPC Rozvadov Main Event champion from April last year Marcin Chmielewski (82,900), along with final tablists Michal Schuh (61,200) and Jiri Horak (120,100).

Play resumes at 2 pm local time, with late registration and re-entry open until the start of play on Day 2. Stay tuned to PokerNews.com for full updates on the day's play as we get closer to crowning the latest WSOPC champion here in the Czech Republic.
