Joseph Nassar shoved all in for 565,000 in total from the button. Rony Halimi quickly folded but Vladimir Shabalin asked for a count. The dealer did just that and confirmed the amount. Shabalin called.
Joseph Nassar:
Vladimir Shabalin:
The board ran out - even though there was a full house on the board, with the pocket nines of Nassar, Nasser had the better hand and earned the double-up.
With about another 40 minutes to go in this level, there have been two shoves from the players on the button. Once by Mohamed Jhider and once by Paul but no callers.
- Joseph Nassar has shoved all in twice from the under-the-gun position but didn't get any callers up till now.
Paul has shoved twice and during the second time, the following happened:
Paul shoved all in from the cutoff for about 1,600,000. Rony Halimi, in the big blind, went into the tank. He asked the dealer how much it was for. The dealer started counting but Halimi told him he could stop once he saw it was a bit more than 1,500,000.
"I have a pair." Halimi said and got up. Another 30 seconds or so later he asked the floor if he was allowed to talk about his hand. As they were heads-up, the floor confirmed he could speech play.
"I have a pair of nines." Halimi then said, trying to get a response from Paul. "I put you on ace-king or ace-queen. For 1,500,000 you wouldn't do this with pocket eights or sevens. It's 20 big blinds, I really think you have ace-king."
Paul still didn't respond in any way. Halimi folded.
Paul completed the small blind and NFJM opted to check his big blind.
The flop came , Paul bet 60,000, NFJM called.
The turn gave them the , now Paul bet 160,000 and NFJM called.
The river completed the board with the , now Paul shoved with the bigger stack and NFJM snap-called. Paul showed but NFJM had him beat with the for a rivered straight and the double-up.
Vladimir Shabalin raised to 135,000 from the under-the-gun position and was called by Rony Halimi in the big blind.
The flop came , Halimi check-called the 140,000 bet of Shabalin.
The turn brought them the , now Halimi check-called the 225,000 bet of Shabalin.
The river completed the board with the and they both checked. Halimi showed for top pair and Shabalin tabled for the turned two pair of jacks and nines.
Paul raised to 125,000 from the hijack and action folded to Vladimir Shabalin in the big blind.
"Never fold against you! You can't steal my big blind!" Shabalin said to Paul. Paul just smiled.
Shabalin grabbed chips as a call and put them in, the dark green 25,000-value chips and the 100,000-value blue-ish chip are very similar so he put in 200,000 instead of 125,000 for the call. The dealer said it was a raise. Vladimir then realized his mistake but it was too late.
Paul four-bet to 600,000 and Shabalin snap-five-bet shoved with the bigger stack. Paul insta-folded.
Rony Halimi raised to 150,000 from mid-position and action folded to TMV in the big blind, who shoved for 750,000 in total. Halimi tanked for about two minutes. TMV called the clock and the floor immediately said that Halimi had not had enough time. After another minute or so, and some mumbling to himself while looking at his own chip stack, Halimi called.
Rony Halimi:
TMV:
The flop came giving TMV top pair and Halimi middle pair. The turn brought them the , this now gave Halimi trip queens, TMV needed a king to double up or a ten to split the pot. The river completed the board with the on which Halimi's rail cheered loudly. And Halimi screamed: VAMOS!"
TMV was sent to the payout desk to collect his 213,000 MAD (€18,739). Another Spanish cannon has left the field, now only Paul and NFJM are left to try and win the war.
