While PokerNews is only live reporting the High Roller and Main Event tournaments at the World Series of Poker Circuit Foxwoods stop, there have been plenty of other side events playing out all week long.
One of them was Event #7: $400 Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better, a tournament that drew 124 entrants and created a $40,920 prize pool. That was paid out to the top 19 spots and among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Gordon Sprague (10th - $785), Jon Tower (14th - $679), and Kyle Anderson (17th - $605), just to name a few.
Coming out on top was Darrell Lee, who not only won an $11,143 first-place prize but also captured his first gold ring. He began the final table as the chip leader but it wasn’t an easy path to victory. In fact, heads-up play against Ming Lee lasted for quite a while, but eventually Darrell Lee got the job done and nearly tripling his live tournament earnings up to that point.

The flop showed and there was around 6,000 in the pot. Michael Wang checked to a player who bet 2,500 and Wang called. The landed on the turn and both players checked to the river card.
Wang moved all in for a total of 21,000. His opponent thought for a moment but in the end, they let their hand go and Wang scooped in the pot with his river shove.

On a board of that featured three spades, Pushpa Agarwal and Nicole DeFrancesco both checked the river with a decent size pot in the middle.
DeFrancesco turned over but that was no good as Agarwal turned over for the winning hand and she collected the nice size pot.

One of them was Event #6: $400 No-Limit Hold’em One-Day, a tournament that attracted 237 runners and offered up a $78,210 prize pool.
Among those to get a piece of it but fall short of making the final table were Linda Swears (12th - $1,267), Michael Rosner (16th - $899), Henry Valentine (19th - $782), Calvin Ma (27th - $633), and Michael Hashim (36th - $547).
In the end, it was Luke Graham coming out on top to win $18,364 and his second gold ring.
“It feels great,” said Graham while commenting on his strategy. “Playing a lot more hands than I used to.”

Giuliano Lentini opened to 400 from the cutoff, Allen Farris called on the button and Andrew Heckman defended his big blind. The dealer fanned out on the flop, action checked to Lentini who pushed in a continuation bet of 800.
Farris called and Heckman quickly check-raised to 3,000. Both of his opponents released their hands and Heckman pulled in the pot.

The landed as a turn card and again action checked to O'Connor, he bet 2,000. Shing was the only one to call and see the river card.
Shing checked to O'Connor who bet 4,100 and Shing quickly folded. O'Connor turned over for a turned set of jacks as he pulled in the pot.
