A player raised to 500 from middle position, and William Koenig three-bet to 1,600 from the hijack. The cutoff called, and action folded back to the middle position player, who four-bet to 7,000. Koenig paused for a moment before announcing, "All in," which quickly chased off the cutoff.
"Is that thirty-five?" the middle position player asked Koenig.
"I have over forty," Koenig responded. His stack was broken down and was revealed to be 42,600, and the middle position player folded after a few moments in the tank.

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team is in Milwaukee to live report action the $1,700 Main Event, but is just one of a dozen gold ring events at the stop. As such, we thought we’d profile some of the preliminary tournaments and those who struck it big.
Event #3: $600 No-Limit Hold’em attracted 87 runners who created a $44,805 prize pool. That was paid out to the top 14 players and among those to cash but fall short of making the final table were Yer Vang (10th - $1,055), Daniel Sarullo (11th - $1,055), Nik Stone (12th - $1,055), Andres Garcia (13th - $935), and Ed Smith (14th - $935).
Craig Trost came into the final table with the chip lead and the 34-year-old from Madison, Wisconsin wound up the winner for $14,834 and his second gold ring.
“I want to say thank you to my very supportive wife. She is amazing and I love her very much,” Trost said with a smile on his face.
Making the experience even more special was that he was at the final table with a good friend of his.
“Jeff Minnerly is a good buddy of mine so it was really fun to make a final table with him as well,” said Trost. “Coming back to the final four, I knew all the guys were really good players. It was really fun playing with them because they are all such great guys which made it such an enjoyable experience.”
