Rodriguez' Two Pair is Best

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

On a {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop, Noel Rodriguez bet 1,500 from the hijack, Abdulaziz Alaquil called on the button, and Peter Mugar folded from the small blindll blind.

Both remaining players checked through the {10-Spades} turn and {2-Clubs} river, and Alaquil announced two pair and turned over {j-}{10-}. Rodriguez tabled a better two pair, showing {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} to take down the pot.

Harvey, Shunt, Brookshire Dusted

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

In the blink of an eye, three seats were vacated among two of the tables.

According to players at the table, Brett Murray knocked out Steven Shunt after hitting the nut flush with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} on an eight-high flop with two hearts. Moments later, Mike Harvey was knocked out by Eric Wong on the same table.

David Brookshire was then knocked out on an adjacent table at the same time. According to a player at that table, he had gotten his last 13,000 or so all in preflop after four-betting with {k-}{8-}. He got action from Alex Condon's {a-}{q-} and Condon held to send Brookshire home to take the field back down from 24 to 21 just like that.

Villaman Cooks Demersseman Before Break

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante
Ray Villaman
Ray Villaman

Adam Demersseman raised to 1,200 from under the gun and was called by Glenn Miller in middle position and Ray Villaman, who defended his big blind. The flop came {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Villaman checked to Demersseman, who made a continuation-bet of 1,800. Miller folded.

Villaman called and the turn came {q-Clubs}. Villaman checked and Demersseman continued, firing another 3,000. Villaman check-raised to 8,000, putting action back on Demerssemean, who went into the tank.

Moments later, Demersseman announced he was all in, cutting out his stack to a total of 28,100. Villaman thought for over two minutes as time expired in Level 6 and the break began. After another minute, he reluctantly threw in chips to call.

Adam Demersseman: {k-Spades}{6-Spades}
Ray Villaman: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Villaman had found himself making the right call with top pair, top kicker, needing to fade the remaining kings and sixes in the deck to score the knockout. The river came {3-Diamonds} to do just that and the dealer leaned forward and scooped Demersseman's chips over to Villaman as Demersseman got up from the table, finding himself dry on chips as the rest of the tournament had gone on break.

Abdulaziz Alaquil
Abdulaziz Alaquil

Ben Coulombe opened to 1,300 from middle position and was called by Abdulaziz Alaquil out of the small blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Alaquil checked. Coulombe made a continuation-bet of 1,300 and Alaquil threw out chips, announcing a check-raise and "clicking it back" to 2,600. Coulombe called.

The turn came {10-Diamonds}, prompting a check from Alaquil. Coulombe made a bet of 2,300 and Alaquil check-raised all in for the effective 10,300 remaining in Coulombe's stack. Coulombe instantly folded and the pot was sent Alaquil's way.

Hoang Bets River With Cowboys; Two More (Re-)Entries

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante
Tony Hoang
Tony Hoang

Glenn Miller raised to 1,300 from under the gun and was three-bet by Tony Hoang to 3,600 from his direct left. Action folded back to Miller and he called.

The two checked through to the river on a runout of {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Miller checked to Hoang one last time. Hoang bet 3,800 and Miller threw out a chip to call.

Hoang tabled {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for a pair of kings and Miller quickly sent his cards to the muck.

Meanwhile, Jasthi Kumar recently joined the field and has found his way to Table 41, occupying the seat formerly filled by David Brookshire. Adam Demersseman also has re-joined and has drawn the same seat he had prior to his elimination on the final hand before the most last break.
