McGowan Doubles

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The action began with the player under-the-gun raising to 3,500, Alan Cutler called next to act and David McGowan three-bet to 15,000. The action folded back around to the under-the-gun player who moved all-in for 42,900, Cutler quickly folded and McGowan snap-called his remaining 40,400.

Under-the-gun: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
David McGowan: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

It was a flip but quickly changed on the {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop giving McGowan a pair of aces, and his opponent couldn't catch up on the {10-Hearts} turn or the {7-Hearts} river.

Jones Dodges the World to Eliminate Hawkins

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ryan Jones
Ryan Jones

With about 19,000 already in the pot on a flop of {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} Ryan Jones led for 8,000 and Maurice Hawkins raised to 18,500. Jones pushed all of his 5,000 chips in the middle for roughly 90,000 and Hawkins quickly called off his remaining chips of roughly 85,000.

Maurice Hawkins: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Ryan Jones: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

Jones was in the lead with his overpair but was fading the straight and flush draw of Hawkins. The turn {3-Hearts} was a safe for Jones and the {9-Clubs} made Hawkins a pair of nines but that wasn't enough to beat Jones' pair of aces and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Jayne Gets Ace High Value

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Three players tentatively checked a hand down to the river as it ran out to read {2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}. On the river Jordan Jayne bet 5,000 which quickly folded out his first opponent.

Joe Shammas thought about it for a bit before tossing in the call. Jayne announced ace high and turned over the {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} which turned out to be the best had as Shammas flashed the {k-Diamonds} and mucked to give Jayne more chips to his large stack.

Yaremych Flops a Set; Eliminates Pupillo

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} with about 27,000 already brewed in the pot Nick Pupillo led out for 14,000, the big blind took about two minutes before deciding to call and Brian Yaremych moved all-in for 38,100. Wasting no time Pupillo announced he was all-in as well for 60,600 and the big blind called who had them both covered.

Nick Pupillo: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Big blind: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Brian Yaremych: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

Yaremych was in the lead with a flopped set of deuces and the turn {3-Hearts} gave him a sweat, now dodging a heart as well but the {6-Clubs} on the river was a brick tripling Yaremych up and eliminating Pupillo.
