Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante
Michael Wang
Michael Wang

Michael Wang, who is coming off a sizzling week at Horseshoe Baltimore, has had a positive day thus far as he has built his stack up on each level.

The most recent chip up came on when he bet 8,300 on a board that read {2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} which caused his opponent to think for a while before pitching his cards into the muck

Keeling Re-Raises All-In on the Flop

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

A player in middle position raised to 1,300 and the action folded around to Nick Pupillo who called in the small blind and Rob Keeling defended in the big blind.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Pupillo fired out a bet of 1,800 which Keeling called before the third player in the hand raised to 7,000. Pupillo slid his cards into the muck and Keeling announced all-in and the opponent snap-mucked. "No four" Keeling said.

Shulruf Wins a Flip

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

The action began with the cutoff raising to 2,000, the button folded and the small blind moved all-in and Joel Shulruf was in the big blind who asked for a count. After finding out it was 21,800 he thought about it for a few more seconds and announced all-in for roughly 55,000 and the cutoff snap-mucked.

Small blind: [ 3s3c]
Joel Shulruf: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

It was a race until the flop fell {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} giving Shulruf a pair of aces and nothing changed on the {j-Clubs} turn or the {5-Diamonds} river, giving Shulruf the pot and eliminatiing his opponent.

Too Rich From Rich

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Three players saw a flop of {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}. In position from the button, Irene Carey bet 3,000 which was called by Rania Nasreddine. Jacob Rich then raised to 8,500. Carey quickly called and Nasreddine got out of the way after about 20 seconds of deliberation.

The turn was the {6-Spades}. Both players checked. The river paired the board as the {6-Hearts} came off. Rich paused before jamming all in.

Carey went into the tank and played with her cards for a while before eventually folding her hand and handing the pot to Rich.

Thurman Triple Barrels

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

The under-the-gun player raised to 1,500 and Keith Thurman three-bet to 4,000 a couple of spots to his left, and the action folded back around to the under-the-gun who made the call.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and after Thurman's opponent checked he bet out 3,000 which got called quickly. The turn was the {2-Spades} and Thurman's opponent checked once again before he fired out 7,000 and his opponent called.

The {j-Hearts} landed on the river putting the fourth heart on the board, Thurman's opponent checked for the third time and he fired out 19,000 and that was enough to take down the pot.

Thomas Cracks Shammas' Kings

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Jason Thomas raised in the cutoff and the button quickly three-bet to 7,000. The small blind folded before Joe Shammas splashed in a re-raise to 25,600 and Thomas called off his remaining 11,800 before the button's cards hit the muck.

Joe Shammas: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Jason Thomas: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Shammas had Thomas dominated and the flop came {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} giving Thomas only a gutshot. The {8-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing and the {10-Clubs} hit the river, making Thomas the Broadway straight and getting a little more than a double up.
