Maue Claims Chip Lead Before the Break

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 600 ante
Maue vs Sotiropoulos
Maue vs Sotiropoulos

"WhatIfPIOswrong" raised to 10,000 from the button and Leonard "LottoLarry" Maue three-bet to 33,750 from the small blind. Christian Rudolph folded his big blind but "WhatIfPIOswrong" four-bet shoved for 116,672 which Maue called.

"WhatIfPIOswrong": {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Leonard "LottoLarry" Maue: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades} for Maue to flop the higher pair to eliminate "WhatIfPIOswrong".

On the next hand, Georgios Sotiropoulos raised to 10,500 from under the gun for Maue to three-bet to 30,500 from the button. The blinds folded but Sotiropoulos made the call.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Sotiropoulos check-raised the 189,175 continuation-bet of Maue to 53,850 and was called by the latter.

The turn was the {q-Hearts}, Sotiropoulos checked again. This time, Maue bet 32,600 for Sotiropoulos to call again.

The river completed the board with the {6-Spades}, Sotiropoulos checked for the last time. Maue tanked and then shoved. Sotiropoulos called for the 121,148 he had behind with the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} for two pair. But Maue held the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} for the higher ones to score the monster pot and take the chip lead before the break.

Schemion Eliminated by Astedt

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 600 ante

Ole Schemion jammed a short stack with the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and was called by Niklas Astedt in the big blind with {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Astedt hit top pair on {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Schemion failed to connect on the {k-Clubs} turn and {k-Hearts} river. Schemion then re-entered, lost almost all chips, hit a miracle double and busted right after.

Vieira Also Knocks Out Marques

Vieira vs Marques

Isaac Haxton raised it up to 11,000 and Joao Vieira three-bet to 35,000 in the cutoff. Andre "Sperma" Marques four-bet ripped out of the big blind for a total of 188,436 and Haxton folded while Vieira called.

Andre "Sperma" Marques: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Joao Vieira: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The suited ace missed on the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop but Vieira got there on the {k-Diamonds} turn, the {j-Diamonds} river failed to keep Marques in contention on the second bullet.

David Yan doubled Gleb Tremzin and his second attempt at knocking out an opponent in a preflop all-in came to the same result.

Joakim Andersson: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
David Yan: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} board gave Andersson broadway on the turn.

Vieira Back from the Brink

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 600 ante
Vieira vs Dvoress
Vieira vs Dvoress

Joao Vieira was left with a severe short stack when he clashed with Andrey Pateychuk in the following preflop all-in contest.

Andrey Pateychuk: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Joao Vieira: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Vieira had 34,062 at his disposal.

Vieira then doubled with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of Jonathan "JA-S-N-G-T" Fhima thanks to a {k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board.

One hand later, Fedor Holz jammed the button with {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Vieira prevailed in the small blind with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} thanks to a {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} board.

Last but not least, Daniel Dvoress got his chips in and again it was Vieira involved.

Daniel Dvoress: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Joao Vieira: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board was not without a sweat but Vieira scored another knockout.
