Newman was in good shape with top set but had to fade the straight draw, while seat 9 had to hope for a miracle. The turn was the to give Newman the boat and the on the river confirmed the huge pot for Newman, eliminated one player and left seat 9 with a just a few big blinds.
Josias Santos was all in preflop with against of his opponent in a battle of fairly short stacks.
The flop came , the turn sent Santos into the lead as a came off. The river came and Santos eliminated his shorter stacked opponent to gain some much needed ammunition.
Meanwhile at the same table, Thomas Johnson was spotted with a huge stack, certainly one of the largest in the room currently.
AJ Kelsall opened to 1,400 from middle position, Olamide Otti called in the hijack and Eric Salazar three-bet to 5,100. Otti was the only caller and the dealer fanned out [qhqcjh[ on the flop.
Both players checked to the turn card where Otti tapped the table again and Salazar quickly threw in 5,000. Otti mucked and Salazar pulled in an easy pot.
