Green and Leslie Hit the Rail

Level 17 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Adam Todd opened to 12,000 in early position and Brian Green shipped all in for 89,000 in the cutoff. The action was back on Todd and the two players had a discussion about the previous hand before Todd made the call.

Green confidently flipped over {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} but was flipping against the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} of Todd. The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Green was unable to find any help as he was forced to settle for a min-cash.

In the next hand, Todd opened to 12,000 again from under the gun and Jacob Corda ripped all in for around 120,000 on his left. Tim Leslie also pushed all in for 48,000 in the big blind and Todd eventually folded.

Corda turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} which had Leslie's {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} in big trouble. The board of {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} secured the win for Corda and Leslie was the next player to hit the rail.

Higgins Doubles Through Pho

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Matthew Higgins was down to just ten big blinds and shoved all in for 60,000 in early position. Chico Pho called on the button and the blinds both folded.

Matthew Higgins: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Chico Pho: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip and Higgins took the lead on the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop. The {9-Clubs} on the turn nor the {8-Diamonds} on the river would help Pho as he sent over a small double up.

Whittington Gets Paid Off

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Joshua Johnson opened to 14,000 in early position and was called by Blake Whittington on his left along with Johnny Landreth in the big blind. The flop fell {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Landreth checked to Johnson who continued for 29,000. Whittington called and Landreth got out of the way.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and both players checked to the {a-Clubs} on the river. Johnson led out with a bet of 45,000 and Whittington raised to 128,000. It didn't take long for Johnson to call and Whittington showed {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} which was enough to beat the {a-Spades}{8-Spades} of Johnson.

Sheaves Flushes Small to the Rail

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Sean Small
Sean Small

Sean Small raised it up to 13,000 from under the gun and picked up four callers along the way. The flop fell {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Small continued with a bet of 34,000. Warren Sheaves was the only player to make the call from a couple of seats over.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs} and Small went into the tank for over two minutes before moving all in for his last 68,000 chips. Sheaves instantly called and tabled {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a turned flush. Small was still drawing live with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} but the {10-Spades} on the river did not pair the board and Small was eliminated.
