Kurfman's Got Talkin' Chips

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante

John "Farmboy" Kurfman raised to 600 from the hijack, and was called by Perry Ernest on the button and James Pupillo in the big blind.

Action checked to Ernest on a {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, and he announced, "Twelve," before betting 1,200. Pupillo folded.

"Twelve what, thousand?" Kurfman said. He then raised to 4,000. Ernest went into the tank, and Kurfman began to chat with Ernest.

"Whatever he'll call, I'll bet. Can I bet twenty-five?"

Ernest looked over at Kurfman and said, "Nines?"

Kurfman grinned and said, "Better than that, shit! What you got, threes? Fours? It's fours."

Ernest eventually called, and Kurfman said, "Sure you wanna do that?"

Both players checked the {q-Clubs} turn, and the {q-Spades} fell on the river. Kurfman bet 8,000, and Ernest folded his {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} face-up.

"I got one of those," Kurfman said, revealing the {10-Diamonds}. He then showed the {9-Spades} for a flopped straight, and raked in the pot.

Grandin's Big Slick Does the Trick

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante

Dave Grandin raised to 600 from early position, and found four callers, including Nick Pupillo in the hijack.

Action checked to Grandin on a {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades} flop, and he bet 2,000. Only Pupillo called.

Grandin bet 3,100 on the {4-Hearts} turn, and Pupillo called again.

The {7-Clubs} river completed the board, and Grandin bet 4,000. Pupillo called, only to muck after Grandin tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

Christopher Underwood
Christopher Underwood

Steve Alonzo raised to 600 from the hijack, and Christopher Underwood called in the big blind.

Underwood checked the {10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop over to Alonzo, who bet 600. Underwood called.

The {j-Hearts} fell on the turn, and Underwood led out for 3,500, overbetting the pot. Alonzo paused for a few moments, then flung his hand to the muck.

Saul Enters, Jams

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Kevin "BeL0WaB0Ve" Saul and his opponent each committed 5,100 preflop, and saw a {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop together. Saul bet 5,200 from under the gun, and his opponent in the small blind called.

The {2-Diamonds} fell on the turn, and Saul shoved, putting his opponent to the test for his last 20,000. The small blind tanked for a bit, then elected to fold, shipping the pot to the former WPT Bellagio Cup III champ.

Tucker Raises and Wins

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Rob Wazwaz checked a {2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop from the small blind, and the big blind bet 1,300 into a pot of 2,000. Kyle Tucker called in middle position, as did Keith Heine in the hijack, while Wazwaz folded.

The big blind fired a second bullet for 2,500 on the {4-Hearts} turn, and Tucker raised to 7,200. Heine folded, and the big blind thought briefly before pushing his cards to the muck as well.

Yofon Bombs

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Cody Brinn checked a {5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop from the big blind, and the under-the-gun player checked as well. Marcus Yofon bet 4,000 into a pot of 6,600, and only the under-the-gun player called.

The {10-Diamonds} fell on the turn, and the under-the-gun player checked. Yofon announced, "All in," slamming a column of chips to cover his opponent's remaining 23,500 in chips. The under-the-gun player tanked for a minute, then folded.

"You got any bluffs there, bro?" Brinn asked Yofon, who grinned and said, "Can you find one?"
