Roth's Words of Wisdom

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Chris Roth
Chris Roth

The aftermath of a hand between Chris Roth and Jesse Bowman in a battle of the blinds saw Roth taking the last of Bowman's stack when his {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} bested Bowman's {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs} on a {3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts} board. The chips all went in on the river, and Roth took the pot and knocked out Bowman with the flopped nut flush.

"Of course I led on the flop!" Roth said after the hand when some of his tablemates asked him about the hand. "Because if he calls, you know he's behind!"
