The World Series of Poker Circuit stop in the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas will now see Event #14: $2,200 High Roller kick off at 4 p.m. local time.

This event has no set guarantee but will be expected to have another impressive showing after 179 slips were sold for this event last year. The defended champion Ali Imsirovic was a healthy piece of the total entries after he bought in seven times, but it paid off as he took down the event for his first Circuit ring along with the $96,659 first-place money.

All players will begin with 30,000 in tournament chips and will have an unlimited re-entry/registration period up until the start of level 13. The first day of this event will play a total of 12 levels before bagging and tagging for the night with a 15-minute break coming after three levels of play. There will also be a 40-minute dinner break coming at the end of level 9.

The players who survive the day will return to play on Day 2, which is slated for a 2 p.m. start on Tuesday, February 25.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing all of the live updates throughout the remainder of this event, so stay tuned as the action unfolds.

Demersseman Leaves Ostapchenko Short

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

The flop read {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and there was about 1,800 in the pot when Andrew Ostapchenko bet 1,000 and found two callers, Adam Demersseman included.

The {7-Hearts} landed on the turn, action checked to Demersseman who bet 2,400 and it folded to Ostapchenko who check-raised to 8,000. Demersseman shoved 22,200 and Ostapchenko snap-called.

Ostapchenko tabled {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for two pair but was behind when Demersseman tabled his turned two pair, flipping over {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. The {a-Hearts} river sealed the deal for Demersseman who double through Ostapchenko.

Mandavia Sits Down, Pulls In a Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

The flop read {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and a player bet 2,000 into a pot that contained about 2,600. Ankush Mandavia raised to 5,200 and a third player in the hand stuck around, the initial bettor folded.

The dealer turned over a {9-Diamonds} on the turn and action checked to Mandavia who bet 7,500. His opponent called and the {7-Clubs} completed the board.

Action again checked to Mandavia and again he bet, this time for 15,000 and his opponent snap-folded, sending the pot to Mandavia.
