Pantelic KOs Murray

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

With around 500,000 already in the pot, Brett Murray pushed for 577,000 from the small blind, with {k-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} on the board. The big bet sent Marko Pantelic deep into the tank.

Pantelic, who had Murray covered and was on the hijack, eventually decided to call. Murray tuned over [{a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, and Pantelic saw Murray's two pair and excitedly tabled {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

The set of eights was the winner, putting Pantelic at over 1.8 million chips and ending Murray's tournament run in 22nd place.

Stewart Ousts Peling, Takes Chip Lead

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Brett Murray opened to 40,000, Zephyr Peling raised to 300,000, Scott Stewart four-bet all in for 900,000 total, Murray folded, and Peling called off the remainder of his 670,000 total stack.

Zephyr Peling: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Scott Stewart: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Board: {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

The {9-Hearts} on the flop put Stewart ahead, and he stayed in front through the runout. The hand eliminated Peling, and put Stewart in the chip lead at 1,600,000.
