Star Studded Final Table of Event #2: Super MILLION$ Main Event, $10,300 Starts Shortly

Welcome back to the final day coverage of Event #2: Super MILLION$ Main Event, $10,300 here on PokerNews. Last week, a field of 748 runners got together for this massive WSOP Ring Event, where first place will be taking home $1,192,333, and the WSOP ring. The chip leader is a man familiar with WSOP hardware, two-time bracelet winner Mark Radoja, who has 14,176,005 in chips. However, he has German High ROller Christian Rudolph and Russian poker star Anatoly Filatov hot on his heels, within a couple big blinds. Action folded around to short stack Graf Tekkel on the button, and he moved all in for his final 1,800,000 and change. From the big blind, Anatoly Filatov would call with , but he was well behind the jacks shown by Tekkel.

Isaac Baron had grinded the short stack throughout the final table so far, and his luck just ran out, as he bowed out in seventh place.

Action folded to Baron on the button, and he shoved all in for 4,531,933. In the small blind, Marius Gierse had woken up with , and he called to put Baron at risk with .

The flop of brought Baron little help, and the turn meant that only a king would save him. The came instead, and Gierse scooped a nice pot to get him up to second in chips.

Baron will have to settle for a quarter of a million dollars for seventh place.

Mark Radoja Eliminated in 6th Place ($325,334)

Mark Radoja started the final table as the chip leader, but he wasn't able to win many pots of significance, and he just busted in the biggest pot of the final table so far.

Marius Gierse raised to 660,000, and Anatoly Filatov and Christian Rudolph called. In the big blind, Mark shoved for just over 10,000,000. Gierse folded, and FIlatov thought for a while before shoving all in. Rudolph folded what ended up being pocket jacks, and the cards were shown.

The flop of missed both players, and a three on the turn meant that only six outs would work for Radoja. The came instead though, and Radoja will have to settle for a disappointing sixth place finish. Meanwhile, Filatov has taken a stranglehold on this final table.

Pedro Garagnani raised to 2,400,000, leaving behind just a few big blinds, but from the big blind, chip leader Anatoly Filatov had woken up with . He set Garagnani all in, and he called with pocket eights.

Christian Rudolph raised to 3,500,000 under the gun, and next to act, Marius Gierse moved all in for 6,700,000. Rudolph would call for less with , but he was in bad shape against the of Gierse. The flop of gave Gierse top set, and all but ended the hand. A queen on the turn officially did that, and the German high roller will have to settle for $547,145.

The two players were fairly even in chips before this massive hand suddenly ended the event.

Anatoly FIatov raised to 1,400,000 with , and Marius Gierse reraised to 5,250,000 with . Filatov called, and the flop ran down . Gierse continued for 3,521,100, Filatov called, and the . This time, the bet from Gierse was 9,434,150, and Filatov was ready to put the hammer down, moving all in for 29,413,050

Gierse called, and saw that he would need a queen or a jack to win. The came instead though, and Gierse fell just short of the title, earning $920,185. For Filatov, he will earn his first WSOP ring, along with a career best $1,193,333.
