With most of his chips already invested, Marius Gicovanu pushed for the last 28,000 on the flop and Silviu Baltateanu called in the cutoff. Once all other tables were completed, the cards were turned over.
Marius Gicovanu:
Silviu Baltateanu:
The turn improved Baltateanu but the river gave Gicovanu the four-card flush and double.
Claudio Di Giacomo raised to 25,000 in the hijack and Ioannis Chaitas then pushed for 114,000 on the button. Abdel Khalil asked for a count in the big blind but folded while Di Giacomo shrugged and called.
Ioannis Chaitas:
Claudio Di Giacomo:
The flop improved Di Giacomo to kings and queens. Nothing changed on the turn and the river was another blank to send Chaitas to the payout desk.
Both Gregor Sverko and Emil Bise found themselves all-in preflop.
Gregor Sverko:
Emil Bise:
Sverko had a very favorable flop when hit the felt. Sverko was not very happy with the on the turn which gave additional outs to Bise. Thankfully for Sverko, there was a safe on the river to confirm his double up.
Nadir Kinno welcomed Andro Scarpa to the table and hero-called with what appeared to have been the bottom pair with while Scarpa's ace-jack was a bluff.
At the same time, Emil Bise was in the tank on the turn while in the big blind. Silviu Baltateanu had pushed from an early position and the clock was called on Bise. Thirty seconds ran down and Bise's hand was dead.
Martin Scharfetter escaped from elimination when his spiked an ace on the river to put a dent into the stack of Bogdan Munteanu. Soon after, Munteanu was then flipping against David Taborsky with the latter at risk for 208,000.
David Taborsky:
Bogdan Munteanu:
The board delivered the dreadful ace on the river. Munteanu was left with 20,000 and busted right after, he was joined on the rail by Elias Abou Saleh moments later.
