Wintermann Flabbergasted by Dalkilic's Big Bet

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With the board reading {k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} Umit Dalkilic made an over pot-sized bet of 22,000 which left Anthony Wintermann squirming in his seat. Wintermann asked "Why so big?" and found a lay down. Action passed round to Sammy Truong who also folded.

Cieslik Busts to Parkhanov

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Oleksiy Parkhanov raised to 5,500 and then called the push by Roman Cieslik for around 48,000 to see both players turn over an ace with decent kicker.

Roman Cieslik: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Oleksiy Parkhanov: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and {j-Diamonds} turn brought no threat yet but the {q-Clubs} river improved Parkhanov. Cieslik snapped a picture of the bad beat with his phone and rumbled out of the tournament area.

Lavis Doubles Through Volkov

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Mahmoud Yazbeck got out of the way when Lorenzo Lavis pushed his short stack of 69,000 in and was looked up by Ruslan Volkov.

Lavis' {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} was ahead versus {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and that remained to be the case on the {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} board.

"I would have won, I had a king," Yazbeck said in table chat.

Caymaz Jams Up His Stack Against Nanchev

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With some 70,000 in the middle to the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop, Goekhan Caymaz bet 26,000 out of the small blind and Aleksandar Nanchev called to see the {2-Spades} on the turn. Caymaz now pushed for 86,500 and Nanchev asked for a count before sending the cards into the muck.

Zachow's Bluff Gets Called by Baltateanu

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

On a completed board of {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Silviu Baltateanu checked and Tim Zachow bet 30,000. The Romanian pondered about it for half a minute and then called to get shown the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} by Zachow. Baltateanu had that beat with the {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and raked in the pot while saying "the nine of diamonds was good for me".

Refos on Heater With a Double Knockout

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Raoul Refos
Raoul Refos

Preflop Tommaso Bonini raised to 9,000 and called by Alexander Dovzhenko. Raul Refos three-bet to 19,000 which earned a call from Bonini and a fold from Dovzhenko.

The flop of {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} was checked by both players. Refos made a delayed continuation bet of 16,000 on the {5-Hearts} turn. Bonini wasted no time in folding.

The very next hand Daniel Schumacher bet 6,000 which led Dovzhenko to push forward his remaining 48,000 chips. Refos made a cold call after spending some time thinking about it. The action folded round to Schumacher who shouted "Please hold one time!" and put all of his 53,000 stack in the middle. Refos made up the 5,000 chip difference.

Daniel Schumacher {a-}{a-}
Raoul Refos {k-}{k-}
Alexander Dovzhenko {9-}{9-}

Schumacher's exuberance soon dissipated as a {k-} was showing in the window. There was no help for Schumacher or Dovzhenko on further streets and they both hit the rail.
