Alkan Pays Off Crha

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

In the final hand before the break on the outer table, Volkan Alkan raised and was called by Rene Crha in the big blind. On the {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Crha check-called a bet worth 130,000 and the {8-Hearts} turn went check, check.

The {7-Hearts} river triggered a bet worth 190,000 by Crha and Alkan paid it off to send his cards into the muck in disgust when Crha revealed {7-Clubs}{6-Spades} for rivered two pair.

Fausto Tantillo Eliminated in 13th place (€10,275)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Fausto Tantillo
Fausto Tantillo

From UTG +1 Fausto Tantillo bet 110,000 which prompted Luc Ta to three-bet to 425,000 at the cut-off. Nedeljko Todorovic made a cold call from the small blind. After much consideration, Tantillo pushed for 2,100,000.

Ta weighed up his options and decided to move all-in himself. Todorovic quickly folded to allow his competitors to battle it out on the WSOP Europe Main Event ticket bubble.

Luc Ta: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Fausto Tantillo: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Tantillo walked into Ta's pocket aces at the most inopportune time as it turned out Todorovic was holding the other pair of jacks meaning he would have to hit either a four-card flush or straight to win the pot.

The flop of {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} gave a glimmer of hope for a flush possibility, but the {3-Spades} turn guaranteed the pot to Ta and sends Tantillo to the cage for a five-figure payday.

Pauescu Cannot Bluff Lalinovci

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Besnik Lalinovci
Besnik Lalinovci

In a battle of the blinds a rather innocent pot developed until the {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} turn on which Besnik Lalinovci bet for what appeared to be 175,000. Ciprian Paunescu raised to 560,000 in the big blind and Lalinovci called after a short spell in the tank.

They headed to the {k-Clubs} on the river and Lalinovci now checked. Paunescu bet 760,000 for nearly half of his remaining stack and Lalinovci immediately smiled while staring at his table neighbour.

Around one and a half minutes later he called and Paunescu rolled over the {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a bluff. Lalinovci triumphantly revealed the {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for just a pair of nines and chipped up significantly.

Alfredo Cuti Eliminated in 14th Place (€8,960)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Alfredo Cuti
Alfredo Cuti

Alfredo Cuti raised to 100,000 and one of the table big stacks in Rama Mulaj defended the big blind. On a flop of {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}, Mulaj check-called a small continuation bet and checked again the {k-Diamonds} on the turn. Following a second barrel by Cuti for 215,000, Mulaj raised and instantly called the shove by the Italian for around one million.

Alfredo Cuti: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Rama Mulaj: {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

The flopped full house for Mulaj left Cuti on very thin ice as the {5-Clubs} river ended his tournament in 14th place for €8,960.

There is now a significant pay jump, while not monetary, as the top 12 finishers will earn the entry to the 2022 WSOP Europe €10,350 Main Event.

Small Pot for Alkan

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Ciprian Paunescu limped the small blind and Volkan Alkan then raised to 160,000 for Paunescu to come along. The {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} on the flop went check, check, and Paunescu also checked the {9-Diamonds} turn.

Alkan now bet 130,000 and that ended the hand right there.

Paunescu Chips Up in Three-Way Action

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Ciprian Paunescu raised to 100,000 from under the gun and earned calls from Alfredo Cuti in the small blind as well as Besnik Lalinovci in the big blind. The trio checked the {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop and Cuti also checked the {9-Spades} on the turn.

Lalinovci now bet 250,000 for Paunescu to call and Cuti let go after some consideration.

The {a-Clubs} river was checked by Lalinovci and Paunescu bet 600,000 to send his opponent into brief agony. With a confused look on the face, Lalinovci mentioned in table chat he had two pair and once he folded, he claimed to have let go of jack-nine.

An Error of Judgement Costly for Tantillo; Double-Up for Todorovic

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Nedeljko Todorovic
Nedeljko Todorovic

Nedeljko Todorovic raised 130,000 which was called by Fausto Tantillo and Lukas Zaskodny. Todorovic continued his aggression by betting 275,000 on a {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop which did not shake off either Tantillo or Zaskodny.

A {j-Hearts} did not invite any more action as all three players checked. The river brought {5-Clubs} to pair the board. Todorovic bet 450,000 which prompted Tantillo to move all-in. Zaskodny folds and Todorovic couldn't call soon enough.

Cohen Gets Value From Alkan

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Volkan Alkan opened to 100,000 and received a call by Tom Cohen, which led to the {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. Alkan continued for 125,000 to receive a call by Cohen and the {3-Diamonds} turn was then checked to Cohen, who bet 175,000 and earned the call by Alkan.

On the {a-Spades} river, Alkan check-called for 225,000 and mucked when Cohen tabled the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a straigt to leave his opponent rather frustrated.
