Alexandridis Doubles Through Todorovic

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Symeon Alexandridis
Symeon Alexandridis

Nedeljko Todorovic raised to 100,000 in the cutoff and Symeon Alexandridis called out of the big blind. On the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Alexandridis check-called for 160,000 and then did so again for 260,000 on the {9-Hearts} turn.

The {10-Spades} river completed the board and Alexandridis checked the third street in a row. Todovoric moved all-in with the covering stack and after some deliberation, Alexandridis called for the 520,000 he had behind.

Todorovic instantly tossed his cards with force into the muck where they could still be retrieved as Alexandridis' {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for the bottom end of the straight were good enough to double. The cards of Todorovic were exposed as his bluff with {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} went horribly wrong.

Zoran Dordevic Elminated in 20th Place (€7,138)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Zoran Dordevic
Zoran Dordevic

Zoran Dordevic put his tournament life on the line by pushing all-in under the gun. Action folded around to the big blind Fausto Tantillo who called instantly.

Zoran Dordevic: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Fausto Tantillo: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Tantillo, the table boss woke up with 'Big Slick' to the disappointment of Dordevic. The flop came {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} which was no help for the Serbian and the {a-Hearts} on the turn left him only drawing to a queen which did not come as the {2-Spades} hit the river.

Todorovic Doubles Through Todorovic

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Soon after his stack was cut short, Nedeljko Todorovic jammed for 450,000 and his fellow countryman Besnik Lalinovci in the big blind reluctantly called.

Nedeljko Todorovic: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Besnik Lalinovci: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Thanks to the {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades} board, Todorovic remained in contention.

Tim Zachow Eliminated in 19th Place (€7,138)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Tim Zachow
Tim Zachow

Tim Zachow had three-bet jammed in the previous hand to get through with it and then had a stack of 785,000 at his disposal.

He opened to 80,000 and Rama Mulaj called from one seat over. Ciprian Paunescu then three-bet to 250,000 and Zachow pushed for Mulaj to fold and Paunescu to snap-call.

Tim Zachow: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Ciprian Paunescu: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

There was no help for the dominated pair on the {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{k-Spades} board and Zachow had to settle for 19th place and a payday of €7,138,

Lalinovci Gets Some Off Alexandridis

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Symeon Alexandridis raised to 80,000 and then called a three-bet to 280,000 by Besnik Lalinovci. As they headed to the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, Alexandridis checked and a bet worth 350,000 by his opponent ended the pot right there.

Josef Gulas Jr Eliminated in 18th Place (€7,138)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Josef Gulas Jr
Josef Gulas Jr

Josef Gulas Jr three-bet jammed a short stack and found no caller. Shortly after, he open-shoved for what appeared to be 500,000 on the button and Volkan Alkan rejammed in the small blind to isolate successfully.

Josef Gulas Jr: {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Volkan Alkan: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The kicker played on the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs} board to send Gulas Jr to the rail in 18th place for €7,138.

Jan Van Der Stroom Eliminated in 17th Place (€7,970)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jan van der Stroom
Jan van der Stroom

In the highjack Jan Van Der Stroom bet 85,000 which was promptly three-bet to 205,000 by Alfredo Cuti in the cut-off. Van Der Stroom fired back by going all-in for 535,000 and was snap called by Cuti.

Jan Van Der Stroom: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Alfredo Cuti: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

There was laughter around the table when both players turned over pocket aces, but the humor was soon stifled by a monotone flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn sealed the Dutchman's fate who shrugged his shoulders and graciously shook the hand of Cuti wishing him well for the rest of the tournament.
