Assorted Chip Counts in the Field

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

It took almost one entire level until the first player was sent to the rail. Raffael Wilbertz happened to be the first casualty on Day 1b as the field reached 154 entries.

Boermans Among the Early Leaders

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Bart Boermans had won a larger pot early on Day 1b and continued to chip up thereafter, adding nearly 50% to what he started with.

In the latest pot against Ferdi Pamdir, both checked the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} turn and {3-Spades} river. Pamdir tabled the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} but Boermans had that beat with the {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the superior pair.

Gondrom Upsets Nguyen's Aces

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Duc Quy Nguyen
Duc Quy Nguyen

Andreas Gondrom raised to 600 and Duc Quy Nguyen three-bet to 2,100 on the button for Gondrom to call. What followed was a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} on which Gondrom checked, Nguyen continued for 3,200 and the call came shortly after.

On the {k-Hearts} turn, Gondrom check-called for another 7,500 and then checked again the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Nguyen fired a third barrel for 7,500 and Gondrom just flat-called to get shown the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. Slowly, Gondrom rolled over the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a flopped set and chipped up in a fairly significant pot.

Kappenberg Takes an Easy Pot Off Taborsky

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

David Taborsky is one of the most well-known local regulars in the Czech Republic and he was spotted in the field. In a battle cutoff versus button, Taborsky opened and called a three-bet to 2,000 by Sebastian Kappenberg.

Both checked through a {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop and the {9-Clubs} followed on the turn. Taborsky checked once more and Kappenberg's delayed continuation bet took it down.

Belek Collects Without Resistance

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The field has reached 140 entries and no seat open have occurred thus far.

Most pots remain rather small with the latest of them featuring four-way action for 1,100 each to the {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. The action checked all the way to Bulent Belek on the button and he bet 2,900. That was all it took to shut down his three opponents and Belek earned the pot.

Desset Wins Without Showdown

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Andrej Desset
Andrej Desset

Andrej Desset came into the day on a mission to do better than 1a and immediately started applying pressure. The latest three-way pot saw him up against Sergio Benso and Ferhat Yildiz which led them to the {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop.

It checked to Desset and he bet 3,100 from the cutoff into a pot of three times as much. Benso reluctantly folded and Yildiz came to the same conclusion.

Newest Batch of Notable Entries

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The Day 1b field has already reached 113 entries and several notables jumped into the action throughout the last few minutes.

Three-Way Pot to Karimkhanzand

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With 4,100 in the middle to the {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} turn, the action checked around between Arash Karimkhanzand, Raffael Wilbertz and Ivo Gerber. They also checked down the {10-Hearts} river as well.

Wilbertz showed the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Gerber mucked. However, Karimkhanzand had the best of it with the {6-Spades}{2-Spades} to add to his stack early on Day 1b.
