Nicola Angelini
Nicola Angelini

The action kicked off with a raise to 40,000 by Lars Kamphues and Nicola Angelini then three-bet to 275,000 with one single T-5,000 chip behind. Kamphues moved all-in once it folded to him and the Italian called.

Nicola Angelini: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Lars Kamphues: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop improved Angelini right away, who retained the lead on the {7-Hearts} turn and {k-Spades} river.

Sirigu Doubles Through Tsouloftas

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Andrea Sirigu
Andrea Sirigu

On a board of {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Andrea Sirigu in the big blind had check-called at least one barrel by Georgios Tsouloftas on the button already. He then checked the final street and Tsouloftas pushed all-in with the covering stack.

Sirigu carefully counted his remaining chips and then announced the call, which was verified twice by the dealer and Tsouloftas due to the Italian accent. Tsouloftas then rolled over the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a bluff gone wrong and Sirigu doubled for 500,000 with {k-Hearts}{7-Spades} for flopped two pair.

At the same time, Aleksandar Tomovic lost a duel of short stacks to Dorian Melchers and headed to the payout desk.

Aboudi Doubles Through Ashraf

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Ido Aboudi
Ido Aboudi

Matthew Bushell raised to 45,000 and Fabio Pilato then pushed all-in for 305,000 on the button. The initial raiser sighed, then folded with the words "if you had 250k, I would call".

Pilato revealed the {a-Diamonds} before collecting the pot.

One table over, a battle of the blinds brought a double up for Ido Aboudi through Waheed Ashraf, who had his cards mucked already.

According to Aboudi, Ashraf raised to 45,000 and Aboudi called, then did so again for 55,000 on the {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop. On the {10-Spades} turn, Ashraf jammed and Aboudi called with the {9-Spades}{7-Hearts} for the nuts.

Ashraf only had {a-}{9-} and the {k-Diamonds} river was a blank.

"Nice time to play nine seven ... especially when I have ace nine," Ashraf indeed said in table chat upon completion of the hand.

Gicovanu on Fumes; Aboudi Chips Up

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Waheed Ashraf had doubled through Marius Gicovanu to leave the Romanian on fumes and the next hand on their table then featured a raise by Ido Aboudi and a big blind defend by Samuel Tebege.

On the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, Tebege check-called once and did so again for 150,000 on the {6-Spades} turn for 150,000. Both checked the {7-Hearts} river and Tebege tabled the {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}, which Aboudi had beat with the {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for superior two pair.

Angelini Eliminated by Keyvar

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Nicola Angelini
Nicola Angelini

After defending out of the blinds against Alireza Keyvar, Nicola Angelini check-called a bet on the {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop and the {3-Spades} followed on the turn.

That's when the chips went in for Angelini, who had found a flush draw with the {k-Spades}{10-Spades}. Keyvar was ahead with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and the {a-Clubs} river only improved Keyvar.

Rough Exit for Gicovanu

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Marius Gicovanu
Marius Gicovanu

Marius Gicovanu chipped up his short stack in a split pot thanks to the blinds and big blind ante before he was then all-in once more for a couple of blinds only. He was looked up by Ido Aboudi and the cards were flipped over.

Marius Gicovanu: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Ido Aboudi: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop improved Aboudi to the top pair while the {10-Hearts} turn gave Gicovanu broadway. However, there was one further twist as the {k-Clubs} river improved Aboudi to kings full.

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Sergiu Covrig
Sergiu Covrig

In a battle of shorter stacks, Georgios Tsouloftas on the button and Sergiu Covrig in the small blind got their chips into the middle.

Sergiu Covrig: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Georgios Tsouloftas: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The run bad of Tsouloftas continued on a {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board as further damage was inflicted on his rapidly shrinking stack.

Percic Takes From Ashraf

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Darko Percic raised to 55,000 and was called by Waheed Ashraf, Ido Aboudi and Alessandro Pagliuso. On the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop, it checked to Percic and he bet 85,000. Only Ashraf called and the {4-Clubs} turn was checked. On the {q-Clubs} river, Percic checked once more and Ashraf now bet 200,000, sending his opponent into a frazzle.

Ultimately, Percic called and won the pot with {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} as Ashraf only had the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

"The sizing was perfect, if you make it 500k I snap-call," Percic admitted after the hand was over.
