Heidarij has the Goods

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Angelo Jopek opened under the gun to 1,800 before the very next player to act, Ardeshir Heidarij, put in a three-bet to 4,000. The remaining players folded and then Jopek flicked in a call.

The 9AA flop landed and the action checked through to a 5 turn. Jopek then led for 3,100 and Heidarij quickly called.

The A hit the river giving any pair a boat. Jopek led again for 4,400. Heidarij took a moment and then just called to avoid disaster. It was never coming though. Jopek rolled over pocket tens and Heidarij tabled pocket kings to beat anything but an ace. He scooped but both players still sit with about starting stack.

Roussy-Majeau Snap Calls the River

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The action was opened under the gun when Boyan Shi raised to 2,300. It then folded to Samuel Roussy-Majeau in middle position who put in a three-bet to 6,000. It folded backs to Shi who called and they were heads up to a flop.

The dealer fanned out the Q97 flop and action quickly checked through to a 3 turn. Shi opted to lead the turn for 7,500 and Roussy-Majeau called.

The 7 hit the river and Shi tanked for a moment before betting 8,000. Roussy-Majeau snap called.

Shi rolled over A8 for just ace-high and Roussy-Majeau quickly tabled A3 for just bottom pair and a great snap call.

Garland Wins the Flip

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded all the way to Stephen Garland in the cutoff who only took a moment and then moved all in for his last 20,700. The button and small blind folded and the action was on Kurtis Ruhl in the big blind who did some accounting and then tossed in a call. The cards hit their backs with Garland all in and at risk.

Stephen Garland: 88
Kurtis Ruhl: A9

It was a flip and Garland needed to hold. The full board ran out K7743 and the pair of eights held to earn Garland the pure double.

Check Dark, Bet Dark

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Eric Leblond opened in middle position to 2,700 before it folded all the way to Soufiane Bakas in the big blind who called and they were off to a flop heads up.

Bakas opted to check in the dark and Leblond responded with a 2,000 bet in the dark before the KQQ flop landed and Bakas decided to call the 2,000.

The 5 landed on the turn and the action slowed down and checked through to a 5 river. Bakas then led out for another 2,000 and Lebold decided to just call.

Bakas tabled Kx10x for top pair but it would lose to the aces of Leblond who scooped.

Mazari Shows the Nut-Low

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

There was an early position limp before the action folded to David Alexandre Jimenez who raised to 3,000. Tarik Mazari was on the button and quickly called before the big blind and the limper also came along.

The 498 flop quickly checked through to a 5 turn. The preflop limper opted to bet for 5,000 before the action was on Jimenez who put in a raise to 17,000. Mazari then three-bet ripped the turn for about 30,000.

The original raiser folded and Jimenez sent his cards to the muck aswell. Lucky for us, Mazari showed the goods.

He jammed with the nut-low combo draw of 23 and gave a smile as the pot was pushed his way. Sometimes aggression pays off.
