Martel-Boiteux Gets the Pure Triple with the Worst of It

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The action folded to Philippe Belanger in middle position who put in a raise to 4,000. It folded to Alex Martel-Boiteux in late position who moved all in for about 13,000. The next player to act was Jean-Francois Proulx who only took a moment before putting out enough chips for a raise to cover both players. Philippe Belanger snap called and the cards hit their backs with two players all in and at risk.

Philippe Belanger: QQ All in
Alex Martel-Boiteux: A4 All in
Jean-Francois Proulx: AK

Martel-Boiteux needed some help and he got it in the form of a flush draw on 889. That draw came right in on the 2 turn. The 7 river was a blank and Martel-Boiteux got a pure triple. Belanger won a small side pot and Proulx still sits with the most chips even after the loss.

Dubreuil Can't Get it Through

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Zacharie Desautels opened in late position to 4,500 before it folded to Michel Dubreuil in the big blind who defended and they were off to a flop heads up.

The A8Q flop landed and it checked to Desautels who continued for 3,000. Without wasting any time Dubreuil put in a check raise on the monotone board to 12,000. Desautels stuck around.

The action checked through on the 7 turn straight to the 8 river. Dubreuil took a moment and then made about a pot-sized wager of 35,000. Desautels snap called and Dubreuil instantly mucked without showing. Desautels then mucked too but won the pot.

Dubreuil still sits with a huge stack as the close of late reg draws near.

It's Always on the River

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Renmei Liu opened the button to 4,000 before the action folded to Shayne Khanna in the big blind. After a moment in the tank he moved all in for his last 29,000. Liu tossed in a call and they were off to a full board with Khanna at risk.

Renmei Liu: Q10
Shayne Khanna: A10

The 2J6 flop did not improve either player but the Khanna drilled the Q turn. Unfortunately, the deck had other plans as the A landed on the river sending Khanna to the rail.

Gurin Goes For it All

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Sergei Gurin opened under the gun to 4,000 before the action folded to Nelson Miguel on the button who called and then the blinds folded.

The KQ10 flop landed and Gurin continued for a large size of 8,000. Miguel called.

The 7 rolled off on the turn and Gurin sized up again with a bet of 22,500. Miguel called again.

The blank 4 river hit the board and Gurin sat in the tank for a moment before putting in a blocker bet of 5,000. Miguel wasted little time before putting in a raise to 35,500.

Gurin went deep into the tank and after about two minutes he moved all in having Miguel covered. Miguel gave a head nod and sent his cards to the muck. Gurin scooped without showdown.
