Gafer Got the Goods

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Jatinder Singh opened under the gun to 1,000 before the action folded to Alan Gafer on the button who called and the big blind defended.

The 525 flop landed and Singh continued for 2,500. Gafer called and the big blind folded.

The K hit the turn and the action checked to Gafer who took the betting lead with a wager of 2,500. Singh called.

The 8 hit the river and it checked to Gafer for the last time. He took a moment and then bet 7,000.

Singh seemed a bit frustrated and said "I guess you just flopped a five" but flicked in a call.

"Nope, a boat" Gafer said while tabling pocket deuces for the win. Singh flashed pocket queens before he mucked.

Gafer dragged a healthy pot and the old saying rings true...Deuces never loses.

Romanelli Finds the Hero Call

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Massimo Romanelli opened the cutoff to 1,200 before getting three-bet by Roberto Paniccia on the button to 2,800. The rest of the players folded and its worth noting that the big blind accidentally flipped over a king as he mucked.

The 657 flop landed and it checked to Paniccia who checked back on their way to a K turn. It checked to Paniccia again who opted to put his foot back on the gas with a bet of 3,500. Romanelli called.

The 2 rolled off on the river and Romanelli checked for the last time. Paniccia quickly gathered a bet of 6,000 and tossed it out. Romanelli basically snap called and got the good news.

Paniccia tabled A8 for just ace-high and Romanelli rolled over an impressive call with 33 to scoop.

Is it possible the pre-flop exposed king influenced the call?

Saba Leads into the Opener

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

The action folded all the way to Guy Richard on the button who raised to 1,500 before Thom Saba called in the small blind and the big blind defneded.

The 592 flop landed and Saba quickly led for 4,000. The big blind folded but after a moment Richard called.

The 8 turn hit the felt and Saba didn't slow down with a wager of 6,000. Richard went into the tank and appeared to be looking for a read on Saba. He eventually found a fold and Saba flashed the jack of diamonds as he raked in the pot.

Fortin-Demers Goes for it All on the Turn

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

There was an under the gun open to 1,200 before he got a call from middle position, Roberto Paniccia in the small blind, and Alexandre Fortin-Demers in the big blind.

The 64K flop landed and Paniccia quickly led into the field for 2,800 and only got a call from Fortin-Demers and the original raiser.

The 4 turn landed and Paniccia led again for 7,500 and Fortin-Demers went into the tank. After about a minute he moved all in for about 29,000. The under the gun player folded and then action was back on Paniccia who stood up and began to contemplate the call. He cut out the chips and after a couple minute he tossed them in.

Alexandre Fortin-Demers: 94 All in
Roberto Paniccia: KJ

Fortin-Demers had the four for trips and would improve to a boat on the 9 river. He would get the pure double but Paniccia still has plenty of chips to stay in the mix.

The 7 landed on the turn adding a backdoor flush draw and a four liner. King led again for 5,000 and the action was back on the middle position player who sat in the tank for a bit before finding a fold. King scooped and the donk-lead continues to make chips at Playground.

The Back Four-Bet Jam

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The original raiser called and then Abdel Gadir back four-bet jammed for about 26,000. The small blind three-bettor quickly folded and action was back on the original raiser who sat in the tank for almost three-minutes before finally finding a fold.
