After some raising back and forth, Yannik Hofmann's stack of around 120,000 got into the middle preflop with Angelo Arossi trying to win them.

Hofmann was in terrible shape with big slick against the preflop nuts of Arossi.
Hofmann was drawing dead by the turn on the 9♦7♣3♣8♦4♦ runout, and he headed to the rail, while Arossi's stack closed in on the half a million mark.

With 16,000 in the pot on a flop of J♣5♠2♠, Kevin Abecassis checked from the big blind and Michael Gehrmann bet 11,000 out of the cutoff. Kevin Abecassis check-jammed from the big blind, covering Gehrmann, and Gehrmann called.

Gehrmann had top pair against the flush draw of Abecassis.
The K♠ arrived on the turn to propel Abecassis into the lead with a flush. Gehrmann couldn't fill up on the 7♥ river, and he wished everyone good luck as he ventured toward the exit.

With 109 entries in Day 1a of the CHF1,500 Main Event at the 2026 WSOPC Liechtenstein, it has been confirmed that play will stop when 17 players remain.
Any player who bags up chips at the end of the day will return on Sunday, March 8, for Day 2, and will have locked up at least a min-cash.

Nuri Acar came in for a raise to 8,000 from the hijack with Florian Gehbauer calling on the button, Daniel Faessler calling out of the small blind, and Walter Blaettler defending his big blind.
Four checks followed the 3♥3♠4♣ flop, and the 2♥ arrived on the turn. After another two checks, Acar fired a delayed continuation-bet of 13,000. Only Gehbauer and Faessler called.
Three more checks came after the A♥ completed the board, and Acar took down the pot with A♦5♦ for a wheel.

A check came from Huber on the Q♠ river and Hofmann gathered together a bet of 32,500. Huber tank-folded and relinquished the pot to Hofmann

From the cutoff, Angelo Arossi made it 10,000 to go. Benjamin Hammann ripped it in from the big blind for around 45,000, and after a few moments, Arossi made the call.

Hammann didn't connect with the 3♣K♦5♣K♥J♣ board in any way, which meant Arossi's deuces won the pot, and Hammann hit the showers.
