On a board of 9♣J♣10♦2♦2♥ with 80,000 in the pot, Malcolm Franchi in the small blind checked and Nolan Madene bet 80,000.

Franchi went deep into the tank and the clock was called. “Your actions make me think that you have it, but your face makes me think that you’re bluffing,” he said.

He eventually trusted the second option and called with A♦J♥. He was right to do so as he caught Madene with only 5♦5♣.

Taghla stood up and after a flop of J♠4♥2♣, he hit the 9♠ on the turn. “Sit down, it’s not allowed to stand up,” Franco said, as if standing up were a sign of bad luck for him. The J♦ on the river changed nothing, and Taghla doubled up.
