Marius-Alexandru Gicovanu Eliminated in 16th Place (€10,393)

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Bulgaria's Alexandar Denishev had a rough time after moving tables losing a few pots over the course of an hour. Things changed right before and after the redraw.

Denishev first doubled his small stack when his {7-}{6-} outdrew Marius-Alexandru Gicovanu's {A-}{9-}.

About 10 minutes later, and straight after the redraw before all the players from the third table were able to take their seat, the duo were at it again. This time around for the all-in both players had stronger hands.

Denishev: {A-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Gicovanu: {A-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Denishev's big slick held on a board of {6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Gicovanu was eliminated in 16th place for €10,393.

Right after this hand, we noticed that the stack of Zoltan Gal - the tournament's chip leader for the last blind level - continues to gradually increase. He is now the first player to surpass the 3.5 million chip mark.

Ivanov Keeps Stack Alive

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The stack size of Aleksei Ivanov is not fluctuating much, in fact it had stayed between half a million and 750,000 over the past two hours. Just now he was involved in a 450,000 pot to the {2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} turn and Johnny Hansen had checked in the big blind. Ivanov bet 150,000 from the button with 155,000 behind and Hansen folded after long consideration.

Limping and Shoving on the Feature Table

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Dragoslav Timarac limped from the small blind and Miltiadis Kyriakides jammed the big blind to claim the pot uncontested.

Soon after, Zoltan Gal limped in from the cutoff and Stefan Raschbauer moved all in for 630,000 from the big blind to enforce yet another fold.

Dragan Simeunovic Eliminated in 15th Place (€12,621)

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Dragan Simeunovic
Dragan Simeunovic

The action started with a raise by Dragan Simeunovic in the cutoff to 80,000 and Andrew King three-bet to 225,000 from one seat over. Zoltan Gal fancied a shot out of the big blind but eventually folded before Simeunovic four-bet to 600,000. King moved all in and Simeunovic called it off.

King: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Simeunovic: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the set of queens won the massive pot for King. Once the stacks were counted, Simeunovic had been the player at risk for 1,210,000 and was thus eliminated in 15th place.

Nick Krasniqi was drawing dead when his remaining stack of 425,000 chips went all-in on the turn with a {7-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades} board against Dragoslav Timaric.

Timaric: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Krasniqi: {K-}{10-}

Timaric's flush eliminated Krasniqi in 14th place for €12,621.

Erler Doubles against Schmitz

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The action folded to Thomas Erler and he moved all in for 450,000 from the button and Tonino Schmitz reshoved from one seat over to isolate.

Schmitz: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Erler: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The baord ran out {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Erler doubled to just under one million in chips.

Sun Chung Eliminated in 13th Place (€12,621)

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Sun Chung

Miltiadis Kyriakides moved all in from under the gun for what looked like 550,000 and Sun Chung called for 400,000 from the button.

Chung: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Kyriakides: {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The Cypriot and WSOP ring winner from here in Rozvadov needed help and found exactly that on the flop {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Neither the {3-Hearts} turn nor the {A-Diamonds} river improved Chung anymore and he was sent to the rail in 13th place.

Miltiadis Kyriakides

Andrew King raised to 80,000 and Zoltan Gal called from the button before the action reached Miltiadis Kyriakides in the big blind. The Cypriot shoved for 1 million chips and King raised his voice after little consideration, announcing his own all in to quickly get Gal out of the way.

King: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Kyriakides: {Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

Kyriakides was drawing dead after the turn of a {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Spades} board and went from hero to zero in a matter of less than five minutes.

Erler Wins Nice Pot at the End of the Level

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Just before the end of the level, Thomas Erler raised from the hijack and got called by Mateusz Dziewonski in the big blind. Until the rover of a {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} board, Dziewonski had called one continuation bet and then checked the river to see Erler fire 175,000. The Pole eventually called and immediately sighed once he was shown {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for kings and deuces with ace kicker.
