Catching Up

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

The technical problems appeared to be solved and Jani Vilmunen, Vasili Firsau as well as Dimitri Holdeew saw the flop of {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and all three of them checked through. Vilmunen bet 12,000 on the {Q-Clubs} turn and was called by Holdeew with {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a straight, Firsau was priced in with his {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} and called as well. The {J-Hearts} river then saw another bet of Vilmunen with the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a flush and both opponents folded.

Schreiner Busts to Jachtmann

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Artur Schreiner
Artur Schreiner

Artur Schreiner raised to 6,000 from early position and Jan-Peter Jachtmann flat-called on the button. Jachtmann checked and then called when Schreiner got his stack in after the flop {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

Schreiner: {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for top pair
Jachtmann: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for two pair

The {Q-Clubs} on the turn gave Schreiner an open-ended straight draw, however Jachtmann filled up to a full house with the {9-Hearts} river. Schreiner hit the rail and Jachtmann recovered the losses from earlier.

Vilmunen Doubles

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Within a few minutes, Jani Vilmunen was all in and at risk twice. The first time he chopped with {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} against the {K-Spades}{A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} of Vasili Firsau when the stacks went in preflop. The board ran out {2-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and they split it up.

Vilmunen then faced the check-raise of Thomas Bichon on a flop of {2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and got his stack in with the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Bichon looked him up with the {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a flush draw and gutshot. Neither the {3-Spades} on the turn and the {6-Diamonds} river changed nothing whatsoever and the Finn doubled.

First Blood for Bichon and Firsau

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

In one of the first hands of the official final table, Thomas Bichon raised to 5,500 from under the gun and Lukas Nemec called in the big blind with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Bichon had flopped two pair with the {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and his bet on the flop {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} won the pot.

Soon after, Vasili Firsau raised and picked up two callers to continue on the flop {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} with {J-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} to take down the next pot without showdown as well.
