Baltateanu on the Rise

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On the heads-up turn of {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Dorel Eldabach bet 15,000 into 21,000 and Silviu Baltateanu raised to 58,000. Eldabach stared at the board for half a minute and let go. Baltateanu claimed in table chat he had a five.

The Romanian then three-bet to 5,000 and Ismail Kalkan filled up as the initial raiser. Kalkan check-called for 5,000 on the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and they checked the {k-Spades} turn and {5-Hearts} river. Kalkan turned over {a-Spades}{3-Spades} which Baltateanu had beat with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}.

Brice de Kermadec was all-in for just 4,700 after one player had limped. Tonino Schmitz then jammed for 23,200 and Tomas Brokl called out of the blinds to force out the limper.

Brice de Kermadec: {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Tonino Schmitz: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Tomas Brokl: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} board left de Kermadec and Schmitz drawing dead while Brokl further climbed up on the leaderboard.

Mandzjuk Busts Vrakas

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Oleg Mandzjuk raised it up and then quickly called the three-bet shove by Georgios Vrakas for around 30,000 in chips.

Vrakas was in trouble with the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} as Mandzjuk revealed {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. The {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{q-Hearts} runout gave Mandzjuk a flush and Dorel Eldabach soon after claimed the available seat.

Pitzanti Wins With a Nasty Flop

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Kai Thiemer raised to 2,000 in the penultimate hand prior to the break and Sandro Pitzanti called while saying "this is my favorite hand". Georgios Lekkakos then raised to 7,000 in the small blind and earned two calls.

"Give me a nasty flop", the Dutchman joked to the dealer. The flop fell {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Lekkakos checked. Thiemer bet 6,000 and Pitzanti then raised to 20,000. He forced two folds and then exposed the {7-Spades}{2-Spades} for middle pair and the flush draw.
