Ricci Check-Raises Successfully

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Three ways to the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} turn, Andrea Ricci checked and so did Nawroz Gaff. Mihail Popa then bet 14,000 and Ricci opted for a raise to 38,000. Gaff quickly folded and Popa folded the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} face up.

"Nice fold", Ricci admitted and raked in the pot without showing his cards.

Simperl Doubles Through Paunescu

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

"Just give it back to him, I don't care," Wolfgang Simperl joked with a smile on the face as the dealer was making change for his double-up.

Simperl had taken a flip for his final 84,000 with {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Ciprian Paunescu held the suited overcards in {a-Spades}{q-Spades}. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Simperl survived.

Lahdo Doubles Through Pitzanti

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

"We both have the same stacks as before," Endravuz Lahdo said after he had just doubled through Sandro Pitzanti. It was a classic flip in which Lahdo was at risk with the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Pitzanti tabled the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} but couldn't hold on a {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} runout.

Next Batch of Eliminations

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Only 151 players remain and the most recent list of casualties includes the former big stack Kevin Lemmens. Kevin Naegelen was seen on the way out while Mike Neuens raked in the pot to join the bigger stacks in the room.

Christensen Busts With Aces

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Dimitri Huley
Dimitri Huley

On a heads-up flop of {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}, Dmitrii Huley checked and Thomas Christensen bet 41,000. Huley then moved all-in and Christensen quickly called.

Thomas Christensen: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Dimitrii Huley: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The {10-Clubs} turn was a blank but the {k-Hearts} river improved Huley. Both stacks were counted and Christensen's 240,000 were covered.

One table over, an annoyed Alessandro Laubinger departed when he lost a flip with pocket nines. "I thought I had pocket queens," Martin Kabrhel said in table chat. As a matter of fact, that was queen-ten and Kabrhel got there.

Big Double for De Neve

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} turn, Vicent De Neve check-called for 45,000 and checked again the {2-Diamonds} on the river. His opponent Josef Gulas then jammed and De Neve snap-called for the 165,000 he had behind with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for acs full.

Gulas was bluffing with {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and dropped to a short stack but then more than doubled.

Drzewicki Eliminated by Räz

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Philipp Drzewicki raised from under the gun off a shorter stack and received two callers. Friedrich Räz jammed in the big blind and Drzewicki called it off with the {j-}{9-}. Räz had the underpair with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and instantly hit top set on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. The {2-Spades} turn sealed the outcome of the hand and made the {3-Diamonds} river a formality.

Dang Jams Into Kabrhel

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Van Hoa Dang check-raised the {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} turn to 100,000 and Martin Kabrhel started his usual table talk.

"Don't you know that it's the golden rule in poker not to play with the best player at the table? It is hundred?" Kabrhel continued. He then called and Dang took some time before jamming the {8-Hearts} on the river.

Kabrhel asked for a count and the shove was for 192,000.

"Write it down, greatest laydown in history", Kabrhel said in table chat and claimed he had pocket deuces.

"I am not afraid to put my tournament on the line against you," Dang replied and collected the pot.
