Over on the outer tables, Andrea Ricci raised from under the gun and "Sammy" defended the big blind. The flop brought {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and "Sammy" opted to check. Ricci bet 125,000 only for his table neighbor to jam. A very reluctant call by the big stack followed.

"Sammy": {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Andrea Ricci: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The {5-Hearts} turn was a blank but Ricci spiked the {a-Clubs} on the river to eliminate "Sammy" in 22nd place for €8,168.
