The WSOPC Ring Event 2: KICK-OFF 500K has reached its conclusion after a fast and furious Day 2 of virtual action on GGpoker.

The winner at the end of the day after roughly ten hours of play was ‘JuanMartinDelPotro54’ of Argentina, spinning a $55 buy in into a whopping grand prize of $137,120 by topping a gargantuan field of 28,291 entries.

Using a moniker in honor of the well-known grand slam winning ATP tennis pro from Argentina, ‘JuanMartinDelPotro54’ was spotted toward the end of the day with about 50 players remaining as one of the big stacks. They became chip leader with three tables remaining and would not look back from there as they rode that momentum to a dominating final table performance, eliminating most of other competitors.

Action of the Day

Play was delayed for about an hour after some server issues caused delays, but once they were corrected the 4,046 players to start the day got to work and quickly battled down into the money. Action hummed along nicely, as a variety of names entered the top chip counts throughout the day.

The final table was reach after about nine hours with seven different nationalities represented. The eliminations would come extremely fast as the entire final table barely took over 30 minutes to complete, in one instance three players were eliminated on three consecutive hands.

Heads up play lasted a grand total of one hand after a deal was discussed.‘jolen’ finished runner up after being the only player at the final table to really threaten the eventual winner as they held the chip lead on a couple of occasions early at the final table.

Another elimination occurred exactly one minute later as the rapid pace of play continued.

'DirCOOles' was in big trouble with {q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} against the {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} of 'fastercallme' who was looking to take out another victim.

The board gave no help to the German player and they were sent away in sixth place.
