Poker's Iron Men

Eli Elezra and Howard Lederer were chatting about some of the crazy behavior they've witnessed in recent days from some of poker's top players. Elezra related a story to Lederer about how Ted Forrest played for 24 hours straight in the "Big Game" at Bellagio, lost $400,000, and left that game at noon to go play in a tournament that had a first place prize of only $80,000.

Lederer then told Elezra about how Phil Ivey played for hours at the final table of the $5,000 seven-card stud event, finished second, and then immediately headed to play the $1,500 stud event.

"How do you do that?" Lederer remarked. "How do you go from a final table to a $1,500 buy-in event? How do you switch gears like that?"
